So here's my honest take on Ruya. I've tested a bunch of calming puzzle games and this one's a pretty solid entry. The visuals and soundtrack create a really serene, dreamlike atmosphere that I found quite soothing. It's not super challenging, but the handcrafted levels provide enough variety to keep you engaged. My only gripe is that the game can get a bit repetitive after extended play sessions, but in short bursts it's a great way to unwind. Overall, Ruya is a heartwarming, low-stress puzzler that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a calming mobile experience.

Description

Been playing Ruya for a couple months now. It’s basically a game where you match cute little characters to progress through surreal, dreamlike landscapes. Pretty solid if you’re into calming, minimal puzzle games.

There’s 64 handcrafted levels to complete – you just swipe, slide, and pop the characters to clear each one. And it’s got a really heartwarming visual style, with you decorating the main character Ruya in flowers as you play. And shaking off the flowers at the end of each level is a nice little satisfying touch.

Look, if you’re into relaxing, introspective games that’ll make you smile, you’ll probably like Ruya. It’s not perfect – the soundtrack can get a bit repetitive after a while – but overall it does the job of pulling you into a peaceful, dream-like state. Worth checking out.
