So here's my take on ScourgeBringer. I've tried a bunch of rogue-like platformers and this one stands out for its super fluid, responsive controls and intense, satisfying combat. The visuals and music are also top-notch. And it scratches that itch for a challenging, skill-based action game that keeps you coming back. The rogue-like elements can be frustrating at times, but they also make the wins feel that much more rewarding. If you're a fan of games like Dead Cells or Celeste, I think you'll really enjoy this.

Description

Been playing ScourgeBringer for a couple months now. It’s basically a fast-paced, free-moving roguelite platformer where you play as this warrior named Kyhra. The goal is to explore this post-apocalyptic world, slash your way through ancient machines, and try to uncover the secrets of your past.

There’s a ton of frantic combat – you’re constantly dashing around, slashing enemies, and dodging attacks. The platforming is super smooth and responsive too. You can also shoot some ranged weapons, which adds a nice layer of strategy. The rogue-like elements mean you’ve gotta start over when you die, but that just makes you want to sharpen your skills and do better next time.

Look, if you’re into challenging, skill-based action games, you’ll probably love this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can get a bit grindy at higher levels, and the repetitive nature means it might get old after a while. But overall, it’s a really solid, fun experience that I’d recommend checking out.
