Generous pre-registration gifts, rerolling, and a big roster. I like it so far. Update: I'm clearing levels, developing strong units, and eagerly anticipating the upcoming content... all while never being pushed into impulsive spending. I haven't really touched the endgame development yet, but it looks achievable. From 4 to 5 stars.
Reviews for SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL
← Back to SD Gundam G Generation ETERNALAs someone who isn't much of a mobile gamer, because so many games just don't feel like a complete experience, this is probably the best mobile game on the market currently. It's a Gundam gacha, but it's also one of the best Gundam games released in at least 10 years, for better and worse. Gacha is pretty unobtrusive though, as there is a way to progress your account by building Mobile Suits on unlockable paths for non-money currency. These suits are also pretty powerful, too!
Finally an MSG mobile game with ALL of the series. Pull rates are awesome, gameplay and animations are amazing, and I'm already addicted. 10/10 game!!!! There are quite a few bugs that stop the game from functioning, but it's never occurred in-game. Plus, this just came out at the time I'm writing this, so it's to be expected of any game.
Just started playing and so far it's really good. 2 issues, though these are personal opinions. 1). It's SD style which I don't particularly care for, but that's a style thing I can ignore. 2). The cutscenes are too long. I get that you're kind of playing through the various series, but making the game basically playing the series seems a little...energy conserving. But, it is a good game so far.
This game is amazing! I used to build Gundam models, and I enjoyed the wing series, eventually watching the original as well when it was on TV. This game, not only has all the cool ones I like and know, but so many more! I really enjoy that you can build all the cool ones throughout the development process, super cool, easy, not grindy, just good. The gameplay is strategic, and not just press play and watch, although if that's what you want, it's there as well. Very F2P friendly. Amazing!
Would give a 5/5 but I would like for us to have the option to play the attack cutscenes on auto mode, and have bigger rewards (upgrades, diamonds, etc) for the amount of Gundams that you can choose from and upgrade. I feel like I run out of upgrade modules too quickly and the rewards aren't enough, it kind of forces you to spend actual money if you're trying to upgrade consistently or get more Gundams and that's not cool
overall this is a great game, but being a gacha it is extremely predatory towards your desires. I really wanted the strike freedom UR Gacha unit, so I spent around $100 or so just to get one copy from the pity system. be wary about how much the game is designed to tug on your wallet strings. other than that I really adore this game! fun gameplay as far as mobile goes, and it is really nice to have a SRW-like game everywhere I go.
The good: Fun strategic Gundam game, pretty beginner friendly, and generous with the rewards and stuff too. the initial UR ticket that let you rerolls are also great. The bad: Game is really unbalanced. The start of the game is challenging but good enough to get through. but after that it just went off the hill. The difficulty suddenly jumped extremely high. Your Gundam are suddenly struggling. it's like this game went from easy -> hard -> nightmare. there's no normal in between.
It's definitely the best gundam mobile game I have seen so far. Gamplay, animations, graphics, and ui are all great and user-friendly. My only complaint is how tedious unit development is, especially for limit breaking units. Every time you want to develop a unit, you have to develop all the materials from the beginning. I would love to see a system where it auto develops the necessary units for any unit you have already completed the development line when trying to develop a unit.
Great game, very f2p friendly. The gameplay is just perfect, stages are longer than otger mobile games, sometimes 20+ units on the map. It definitely feels like a tactical game. needs a few more features, but they are coming. It's been out a week, and they already dropped an event for a free unit and the materials to max it out.
Great game that is faithful to all Gundam series. There's an interesting unit and character building. There is an auto play function to help through the grind to get materials for building and upgrading units. It is actively maintained with new materials on every release of the latest Gundam series! And the best of all, you don't necessarily have to pay to get the best units. You can get them eventually by playing. This game is truly for the fans of Gundam!
This really feels and plays like the SD Gundam games on PC. The new SEED Destiny update is even better: Now the game uses the music from the SEED Destiny Series! Now we just need an update so that we can choose/customize which music is playing in other game modes. ProTip: The Gacha is not really needed to advance. Just like the SD Games in PC, all we need is to develop the units from the series and fully-upgrade them. A maxed SSR from development is stronger than an UR with no duplicates.
Great game imo, fairly decent drop rates and give-aways. Only complaint is I've pretty much run out of things to do, except the ridiculous Expert level Eternal Road maps. Past a couple of weeks, most will probably be burnt out by repetitiveness and a lack of feeling of progression. I have a 283K CP team that got wiped out in 2 turns on a 300K recommended map, I doubt I'll be able to complete even at 300K. Difficulty needs to be lowered somewhat, and Needs more Content.
The animations are great and there's an okay amount of units at the moment. However after playing for more than 2 weeks you've completed everything in the game and the amount of weekly diamonds is honestly pitiful. Hopefully as time goes on they add more to do and up the rewards a bit because as of right now it's already turned into a login, do your dailies, log off kind of game.
The game has potential but takes a while between updates. You have very little chance of getting a promoted unit you want from an event banner. Ranked is not very good since the Ai is still awful when it comes to using the skills of characters. You will run out of things to do and be left with a slog of challenges that only a whale will be able to complete. They give out more free gems from gifts than you get from actually playing to keep you enticed, which should tell you how bad the Gacha is.
Just put my first $20 into the game and I instantly regret it. The economy for the gacha element is really bad. Gameplay is fun though and you don't need to spend money to make progress. The amount of in-game currency for the price is not worth it though. I would like to spend money on this game (which is why I tried in the first place). Getting shafted on the first purchase hurts a lot though. Like I could see myself quitting in the near future.
Not entirely sure why, but the game will not load for me. After downloading, I can select my language, agree to the ToS, and that's about as far I can get. It just says "Connecting" at the bottom left of the screen. I've tried playing on a few different wifi networks and off wifi and it just won't "connect."
Absolutely rad. If you're a fan of Gundam at all, you have to get at this. The content, events, and challenges are really fun to complete. The game has gatcha elements, but there are incredibly powerful suits to get just for completing missions and said missions even reward you with gatcha currency. Expectations blown out of the water, I hope we get tons of time to love and play this game. It's really really good
Fun Gundam game that massively spikes in difficulty around Seed. It's fun to build the ones you like, like Epyon. The resources are a total slog to get. With trying to build Gundams and level up the ones in your sortie, it's painful at best to get only a few levels daily. Eventually you just hit a brick wall where you're under leveled at everything all at once. This game could be amazing with some balance tweaking but I guess that's probably the point. Force people to spend money to progress.
The game looks great and is fun to play for a little while, but it drastically needs to improve late game rewards & the economics of the game once you get through a few stories. So far getting certain resources is fairly easy, and others are abundant earlier then quickly dry up (and can easily be missued by new players). Getting Diamonds quickly becomes very difficult and saving for pulls feels like it forever, and the in-game purchase packs & bundles are limited and very costly.
