Description
Been playing Slay the Spire for a couple months now. It’s basically a card game with roguelike elements – you build up your deck as you climb this spire thing, fighting all sorts of weird enemies along the way. Pretty solid app if you’re into strategy games and deckbuilding.
Here’s what you do: you choose a character class, then you start your run up the Spire. There’s hundreds of different cards you can add to your deck, so you gotta be strategic about which ones you pick. And the layout of the Spire changes every time, so you never know what you’re gonna run into. It’s got a nice mix of skill and luck.
Look, if you’re into roguelikes or deck-builders, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – gets a little repetitive after a while – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a fun single-player card game.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Slay the Spire. I've tested a bunch of strategy and card game apps, and this one's pretty darn good. The deckbuilding has a ton of depth without being overwhelming, and the ever-changing Spire layout keeps things fresh. I also like how it's free-to-play but you don't have to spend money to enjoy it. The only real downside is it can get repetitive if you play for hours on end, but that's true of a lot of roguelikes. Overall, it's a super addictive game that's easy to pick up but tough to master.
