I’ve been playing Slayaway Camp: Horror Puzzle for a couple months now. It’s basically a darkly comedic puzzle game where you control a psycho slasher named Skullface who’s on a mission to scare and slaughter camp counselors. Totally pays tribute to old school 80s horror movies.
The gameplay is pretty simple – you move Skullface around these isometric puzzle levels, trying to get him to the exit while avoiding cops, traps, and other obstacles. But the real fun is in the gory kill animations, which are just over-the-top and ridiculous. There’s a ton of different weapons and ways to dispatch your victims, like wood chippers, lawn mowers, and even Sumerian demon incantations. Yikes!
Look, if you’re a fan of horror movies and twisted humor, you’ll probably dig this game. It’s not perfect – the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly and the in-app purchases can get annoying. But overall it’s a solid, gory good time. Worth checking out if you want a break from the typical puzzle games.

So here's my take on Slayaway Camp: Horror Puzzle. I've played a bunch of puzzle games and this one really scratches that itch, but with a deliciously dark twist. The gameplay is simple but challenging, and the gory kill animations are just so perfectly over-the-top. And it really feels like a love letter to 80s slasher flicks. The progression can get a little grindy at higher levels, and the ads/IAPs are kinda annoying, but overall it's a solid, macabre good time. If you're into horror or just want something a little different from the usual puzzle fare, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a shot.
