There is no way to exit out of ads. You are taken to the app store after the ad or the ad stays up indefinitely. When I am out of moves in a round, I hit "New Deal", then am directly taken to another ad. When I completely exit out of the app to try to get a new deal, my previous hand is still there. Then I go through the whole cycle of hitting the "New Deal" button, and taken to an unending ad. Lame. 👎
Reviews for Solitaire - Classic Card Games
← Back to Solitaire - Classic Card GamesUpdate in response to your reply to my review: I am not talking about pop-up features in the game, I am talking about long ads that you have to watch in between games. That is what I paid to remove. In between games, those ads still appear. I paid for the ad-free version of the game. Guess what I'm getting? An ad after every single game! I liked the game, but would like it more if I got what I paid for. I want a refund for the purchase.
the game works, unfortunately the ads were intrusive to me as I was getting through games at a rapid pace. I purchased the remove ads package and am shocked to find ads still persist for the daily and for the coin multipliers. The app itself works as a solitaire app, don't buy the package as it currently feels like a scam to me.
Was fun at first when I was looking for a quick fix, but the ads are so long and it's the easiest version of Solitaire I've ever played. Final nail for me was that I'm pretty confident they use AI generated art for their special event images ( the Thanksgiving event at the time of this review ).
So. Many. Ads. There's no excuse for a 30-60 second ad after every single deal. I actually spent more time waiting for the ads to end than I did playing the game. And enough with the stock replies saying "..as a startup we rely on ads to survive..." You were saying the exact same thing two years ago, so you're not really a "start up." And it's not like you created a groundbreaking new game. It's solitaire for godsakes.
Dropping my rating by a star because the higher I get the more it gives impossible decks, trying to force me to use joker cards. A lot of things are locked behind level 40-50 and it takes quite some time to get there. The game also employs the use of dark patterns, such as making an ads "claim" button visually prominent and bigger than the "continue" button. The daily gifts will randomly pop up sometimes and they increase the chance of you clicking on an ad button.
I used to be obsessed with this solitaire, getting up to a 70 win streak. I've noticed someone else has had this problem too where one day after having a good streak the deals become impossible to do without a joker. I've checked and when you click to share it shows how difficult the deal is and 9/10 deals I get now are "Only 5% of people can solve this deal" it's no fun to play the game just to have to redeal Everytime. I feel like this is their way to make you purchase jokers with real money.
Game was great but now the ads are intolerable. You now have to watch a 30 or 60 second ad in-between every single game. If each game is around 2 minutes, it's unbearable to watch a 60 sec ad every single time. And most of the ads are the ones with the tiny X's or arrows that you're bound to inadvertently click. As soon as I find an app to replace this one I'll unfortunately be deleting the app.
Played game for months and spend hours to get to higher level. Now all of a sudden the events won't play even though in the details there is an event happening. It's frozen or something. Unless this can be fixed then it's time to leave and uninstall. And you need to stop saying this is a start up when it's over 5 years old. Stop excuses. No thank you on sending and email you just need to fix the app.
Went from a 5 star to a 2 star. It used to be a simple game of solitaire with non-intrusive ads. Now there's a video ad (the same ones every single other mobile app has had late), and instead of playing a dozen deals in a row, I can barely get through three before the long ads annoy me enough to close the app. I'm leaving this review for anyone looking for a game of solitaire, then uninstalling and finding a better one.
The app was working fine for a while. Basic solitaire app, nothing fancy. It's free because of ads, I get that. I've been using it for a couple of weeks no problem. But for the last couple of days, this thing opens a browser page in the middle of a game. With no visible ads on screen to click. And that browser page is some kind of Amazon survey scam. Absolutely scummy ad behavior.
Game is pretty good for a while, good enough that I purchased the no ad option in order to play more with less interruptions. However, almost immediately after paying for the ad free experience, about 90% of the games would end in a "no more moves" situation, with a prompt to play a joker. Guess what you need to do to play a joker? Yes, you have to buy one. Sad to see another decently made app ruined by cash grabbing. Edit: the response makes it clear you didn't read the review.
If you're looking for just a simple app with solitaire, this is it. Yes, there are ads but I really don't mind any of them. They're all extremely short and easily skipped. I love the simplicity, how smooth everything is, it even has a little statistics board you can look at which I think is really cool! I don't see that often. This is probably my favorite solitaire app I've downloaded, 5/5!
A total scam. The first few dozen games are clearly set to some easy mode that you cannot fail at. Then, once you have a sufficiently long streak, nearly every game is a forced loss, to try to manipulate the player into spending money on tokens for Jokers that give you a second chance. It was a real shame, because this is one of the few apps that lets you purchase the game a single time, rather than a subscription, but this is too scummy. At least a game with ads plays fairly.
I haven't had a lot of the problems that others have reported. There are lots of ads but I have the free version. I do occasionally see an "Amazon survey" but I just "X" out of it. What is actually really bothering me is that I just leveled up to 58 and 2 out of the 3 games I've been dealt have been ridiculously hard to solve. I have a winning streak currently of almost 1500 and I really don't want to lose it! But I've spent several hours over multiple days trying to solve one hand. tips???
Ads are relentless, sometimes lengthy, and insanely repetitive. You constantly have to exit out of the pop-ups because when you hit the little 'x', you end up going to the ad site half the time. As you move up in the levels, you MIGHT win every handful of times. Not worth it.
The app loads an ad at the end of every deal. When the ad stops the game will not continue. You have to close the app out & start over. The app also locks up when you have a deal with no more moves & when u click for a new deal yet another ad pops up that never ends. When you then close out the app & try to reopen the app it brings up the old hand with no moves. I even tried clearing the app's cache but it still returns to the old deal with no moves. This is THE MOST ANNOYING solitaire app!!!
Games become unwinnable after a while. I really thought I was going crazy or somehow getting worse at the game because the first few days I played, I had no problem completing it. However, it got to a point where I could only complete 1 out of maybe 15 games. I thought it was me, so I came on here to see if I was alone, but it looks like thats a regular thing on this app. I'm guessing the reason is so people will pay money for more JOKERs to be able to complete the game. I uninstalled the app.
I am only giving 1 star. I used to love this app, but the past 2 months, the game freezes and I can only get 1 of the 3 daily prizes. The only way to unfreeze it is to do a force stop, close and launch again. Also, the ads in between every game is intrusive and annoying. These ads make you click multiple screens just to close the ad. Please fix the app and lessen the ads in between literally every game.
Too many unnecessary bells and whistles, like it's trying to be more than the basic solitaire game it is. It gets progressively "harder", which means it's not at all a random shuffle. The only reason a user would need to collect cards is to cheat. Coins don't really have any value. The special events are still just basic solitaire. The ads are getting more disruptive.
