Easy to navigate. Great assortment of puzzles. No ads or interruptions! What's not to love! Highly recommend! I made this review 5 years ago and my feelings about it haven't changed. If anything I love it more than ever! Definitely worth downloading.
Reviews for Sudoku Ultimate Offline puzzle
← Back to Sudoku Ultimate Offline puzzleThe game functions well, and I love that there are no ads. The challenge I face is that the puzzles that are supposed to be easy are not. I am an average Sudoku player and it routinely takes more than 30 minutes for me to play a game rated easy, usually about 12 to 14 though. I'm positive that it would take most of the day to play a hard game. Sometimes it would be nice to play a puzzle that takes 5 to 10 minutes at the easy level. Other than that, nice.
Even though I've only been playing this game for two weeks, I've given it 5 stars because it's well thought out. The first level was elementary and worked well for me, as it's been a couple of years since I played Sudoku. I'm nearing the end of the medium level and looking forward to a bit of a challenge.
Decent user interface, plenty of puzzles. my biggest issue of that in each level of difficulty, you see very repeating patterns. this means they agreed 10 or so solves in a given level, you immediately know what to look for, be which takes the gun out of it. so I basically only play the random levels.
So far so good, no ads, straight to the point apps. No permissions needed, just direct Sudoku app. Unlike certain games that needs access to your camera, mic, location, access to your pictures and etc. This needs none of that.
I've tried 3 other Sudoku apps, and I've found this one to be the keeper: no nags, a HUGE selection of puzzles, no privacy issues, and the UI is helpful, without making the puzzles too easy, thus boring. My thanks to the devs for this; it's a real gem!
very addictive game, many many puzzles haven't even scratched the surface and I play 4-5 games a day. So much fun if you like puzzles. Different displays to choose how you want your numbers to be highlighted. Great game no ads to bother your game.
The App is very basic for the 'pro' name, the interface is clunky and when inputting pencil mark hints with any speed your device may as well be a strobe light. Some simple fixes like a more aware colour pallet, better use of the screen space and auto clearing defunct pencil marks would go a long way to bringing this up to scratch. The puzzles were good and there are plenty of them to keep you going.
Great! I've gotten tons of hours out of this game, and I'm sure I'll get tons more. The only note I have on it is that the "undo until last mistake" button only seems to undo until the last obvious error (ie putting the same number is the same box), so if I made a mistake earlier, I just have to restart. Again, other than that, great!
Many of the sudoku games are riddled with adds and extra add ons and such that I find unnecessary for my enjoyment of the game. This game has hundreds of sudoku puzzles, each categorized by difficulty. There's no ad between each puzzle completion and no added powerups or buffs, etc that bloat and take away from the games. A nice version of sudoku if you just looking to have it on your phone so you can play on the bus, at the doctors, etc without needing constant connection to a wifi network.
So far a great app with one defeating problem, at least imo. The unlimited puzzles need candidate autofill. It's very cumbersome for some of us to use our tiny phone screens to fill in each one. By the time ive filled everything in ive lost the desire to play. Time is of the essence. Otherwise, I've had a wonderful time. Good for keeping up when you can't break out a book.
I chose to purchase this app after reading reviews for free alternatives which stressed that intrusive ads interrupted the solving experience. By contrast this is a very enjoyable and affordable Sudoku app with no ads. I have not explored all of the content but I have solved the 250 easy puzzles and completed a few medium and hard puzzles. So far the variance in difficulties is legitimate, all puzzles have been valid. I do wish the UI was a little more customizable, but that's small potatoes.
This is a really fun Sudoku app. No ads if you purchase it, and since this is my chosen diversion, it was worth it to me to pay the small one-time fee. It has so many games in each category (Easy, Medium, Hard, etc.). Each game/level has lots of cool features to make it as easy or as hard as you want it to be. It's been a lot of fun to play and making me a much better sudoku player. If you love Sudoku or want to learn how to play and later, how to play well, I recommend this app.
This is worth the purchase for no ads with 3,500 puzzles in the classic mode alone! Some people ding it for not automatically removing notes that you've entered into a cell once you've solved for that number in the same row, but you don't get that in a physical sudoku game either. I don't like a game to do all the thinking for me, so to me it's a positive. The levels are challenging and very satisfying to solve. Great App!
Good interface, appreciate no ads, but same game again and again. Most (all?) games of the same difficulty level are the same game, just rotated, flipped, numbers swapped (all 1s swapped with 2s, 7s with 4s, etc), or other transformations. But the game is essentially unchanged, as is the logic required to complete. Would enjoy more if there were at least several base puzzles at each difficulty level so it wasn't so obvious.
Sudoku, the way it's supposed to be! No mobile data connection? No problem! You don't need connectivity to the internet to play. I often play this game while on the subway and have no connection. No ads! You never see an advertisement interrupting your game, making you lose focus. None before you start, and none after games are completed. Hundreds and hundreds of puzzles in varying difficulties. And if you somehow manage to complete them all in classic mode, ultimate mode generates new ones!
I used to play sudoku years ago and recently saw a free version with ads. The ads were a huge distraction. I downloaded this version and it's great. Even the easy ones are challenging. great way to clear your head and relax. Have fun! update: I've been playing for 6 weeks or so. Still playing easy ones but really improving my time. fun. challenging. relaxing.
This is a straightforward game of sudoku, which I enjoy playing each day. Has 250 puzzles per level plus 500 extra puzzles for another five levels. Tracks how long it takes you to complete a puzzle so you can work to improve your time. No ads to sit through (at least so far) and you can restart (clear) your puzzle if you realize you messed up somewhere along the line. I enjoy the challenge and picking up patterns/techniques at each level.
Almost perfect game, well worth 3.99. Classic mode is better than buying book after book. I don't really review things, but this is legit. A message to developers tho... the ultimate mode sucks, easy is not easy, completely different controls and layout. It feels like u shoved a completely different game into it just for an extra option to play. For a paid game I really hope you keep working to make it better.
I love working on these puzzles. In the classic section of puzzles, I completed every puzzle available (6,000 + the extra 2,000 bonus). I cleared my history and have started over. I love that it has no ads in my account and allows me to work them offline as well as online. They are calisthenics for my 66 year old brain. Thank you!
