Reviews for Survival Shelter

Genuinely has good gameplay and is pretty fun. The only issue is that it's incredibly unfair and relies way too much on ads. Some levels feel and are almost impossible without watching ads to progress, and you can't pay to remove ads. you can only get ad passes that let you skip one or two. The gameplay and concept is good, just poorly executed. Also a few character designs might be stolen. If the amount of needed ads are reduced or an ad free version is released, it would probably be 5 stars.

Purely based off the ad, 5 stars. Actually allowed me to experience a full demo of the game without spamming me to the playstore. I enjoyed the demo, and really since it's how an ad for a game really should be, I'ma actually play. W creator, W ad. Now gameplay review: I really love the game, and personally I love to watch every ad I can to support the game! It's really good imo!

The tactical gameplay is fun, but THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY ADS to be worth the time. And THESE ADS ARE NOT SHORT. THEY ARE LONG (and back-2-back). You'll be watching ads just as much as (if not longer than) you'll be playing the actual game. Seriously, THE ADS KILL ANYTHING GOOD that can be said about this game. If they're going to continue with this design of implementing ads into the gameplay, then my suggestion to the devs is to include only skippable ads. Otherwise, this game is just trash. 💯

-★ for “ad server failed” bug -_- -★ for SO MANY ads. Not “forced” so it's not as bad, but you need SO MANY just to get through levels. Buy tiles ASAP, you'll need tons of space to upgrade anything —but you buy tiles with ads. Etc. Otherwise, it's fun! It's like the ads just slower. It's mostly idle, but enough not-idle that it doesn't feel bad. Lots of good game design so things feel good not bad. Cute girls who feel badass, brain puzzle squad building each run, tradeoffs over meta, good stuff!

it's a fun game. i really like these types of games, but it is heavily dependent on the ads and energy boost which is also the other problem that the energy itself charges up 4-7 business days it takes forever to recharge but it drains extremely fast it takes about 40min to an hour to recharge and you only get about 3 seconds of use and no there isn't a way to upgrade it so your stuck with it like that.

It has a major issue. Ads are spoken of a lot. Instead I'll share the other issue. You start with a 3x3 grid and can expand to a 5x7, most units you have can take up more than 1 tile and have varying shapes, this makes the actual "merging" part of this game extremely difficult as you rely on rng and ads to get more tiles. Even without any ads it still takes several rounds to get a full grid and ad free let's you not even need income. If we started with the full grid, this game would be more fun.

It is a good game, but I've had scenarios where all three options were advertisements. this resulted in me not being able to do anything for an entire wave. The three character options should not be locked by advertisements, there should be a fourth option that has the bonus characters. That really turned me away from the game to the point I don't really want to play anymore

The number of ads you have to watch on this is ridiculous. You can't really get more spaces unless you watch an ad. Most of the ads are 60-75 seconds long too. Of course you could buy ads skips, but you need at least 10-15 per level to advance to next stage. The characters are too tiny as well, and take too much gold to upgrade. Fun for about a day, but not worth spending money on

It sure is as advertised, but the ads fail to mention just how many adds you'll have forced on you, and feel forced to watch to make any substantial progress in the game. I mean, technically there are no forced ads that I've seen, but it sure feels like it when all my gameplay actions for a stage are locked behind ads. Horrible choice of music for gameplay, too.

It's good but it could be better. You honestly have to watch ads to even make any progress. And the running boss Zombie is a little overpowered. I think it could be good, if it had fewer ads, and the ability to get level three characters and big character spaces without ads. 50% of my experience was watching ads just to get a stronger character. It's good, but could be better

has the potential to be a good game. however, the only way to win is to get more slots, and the only way to get more slots is to-you guessed it- watch ads. this is on top of the forced ads every 2 minutes. plus, most of the options you get after each round are only available if you watch an ad for it. so you spend coins to reroll, and then you have to watch an ad to be able to actually use anything you rolled for. complete garbage made by the usual greedy types.

Wonderful mechanics, with interesting combat. The glaring issue is you truly cannot progress without watching 5-10 ads per round. They arent forced, but the enemies are way too difficult otherwise. if you are given four upgrades to choose from, but half of them require an ad, for every selection of every wave, that isn't gameplay anymore. That's ad grinding. I know it keeps forced ads down this way, but it's not worth the time.

Skip this. There's 500 million ads. I'm not joking. There's an ad you have to watch to get higher-ranked heroes. Ads to get pieces to add more heroes to the field, ads to turn on 2x speed, ads to reroll what you can choose from, etc. I'm not joking when I say I timed 1 level and there was 3 minutes of gameplay and 15 minutes of ads.... You can pay $20 to skip ads... and that's way too much... If the price were $5, I'd feel better. if it wasn't for the ads it would be good. it's a shame....

Fun at the beginning, but after a few hours in your progress slows down drastically, requiring you to either pay or grind earlier levels. There are also far too many ads. I don't mind a few ads in order to support a free game, but when you spend more time watching ads than playing the game, that is too much. You also can't progress through many levels without watching ads. It was a fun diversion for a day or two and now it's relegated to games I'll never play again.

I am low-key obsessed with this game. I have noticed a couple things that are a little annoying though. 1) the ad says "100% merge" but this isn't true. I get the same characters often but they're not at the right level to merge. 2) I have to have more coins or diamonds to purchase something. for example, I had 34 diamonds and couldn't buy the chest for 30 diamonds. when I had 44 it worked. this is similar when trying to use coins to level up characters. i hope this is fixed quickly

Not sure how people are finding enjoyment in watching 50+ ads just to still be stuck in level 2. First level is fine. It's the tutorial and they hand the win to you. Past that, you need to watch ad upon ad to even play the game. If you don't, have fun dying within the first few moments to be sent back to the main menu. Never seen a game so ad dependent. Especially so early on it's insane. Also the zombies being complete knock offs of plants vs zombies is funny. Could've tried a little harder

The demo that I played was better than the game itself. Energy bar fills so slowly I can't even tell it's moving. Drains at 3x the speed that it fills. Much of the playability is locked behind ads, which would be fine, but the ads don't load. It just says "advertisement is loading" over and over again until you give up on trying to get whatever was ad-locked. The problem is that you can't clear the waves without the ad-locked items, so you can't win.

Game is easy to play and understand. As much as I actually enjoyed it, the fact you HAVE to watch ads or pay money to get any type of real progress in this game just kills the vibes. You can't get enough spaces unless you watch ads, you can't get enough high tier characters unless you watch ads and it just keeps going. I wanted to like this game but after a week... I was done.

Overall, it's a fantastic game. I've been having a lot of fun with it now! However, my only complaint is the purple zombies that move really fast. THEY ARE SO ANNOYING!! If their damage could be severely nerfed and also make it so that they NEVER spawn as the giant boss enemies, that would be awesome!

Just a cash grab unfortunately. The main mechanic of the game is basically tetris-like placement of units to defend against waves of enemies, and every time a wave finishes, you can exchange out/buy your choice between 3 units/spaces using coins you get. Problem is, I have seen 2/3 slots taken by ad-locked units and spaces, meaning that you are spending your coins but only getting 1/3 of what those coins should give you. Tried lvl2 probably 8 times but you cannot advance without watching ads. :(
