To put it simple: Amazing game, worth the money. You only have to pay once to play it forever, and to anyone asking, thinking or accusing "this is just a minecraft ripoff!" You're wrong! It's a fun and pretty creative game, has tons of things to do, lots of bosses, and you'll never feel alone whether you're playing by yourself or not. It may have a few similarities to minecraft, but I assure you it's very different, it's fun and easy to play, I love both journey and regular modes as well!
Reviews for Terraria
← Back to Terraria"2D Minecraft" doesn't do Terraria justice. It's more like an action RPG with a completely destructible open world. Hundreds of weapons and unique armor sets allow you to pick a class and switch on the fly. Dozens of bosses at four difficulty levels test your skill and equipment, allowing you to grow even stronger. And millions of spaces for blocks in every game will allow you to build anything your heart desires. The controls take a bit of time to get used to, but when you do, you can't stop.
Terraria is such a great game. I know its under the same light as Minecraft, but it's not a clone. It has over 2000 items, over 10 bosses, and over 30 sets of armour and over 200 weapons, as well as classes. That's just the vanilla game. It also has 15+ NPCs to help you on your way. It's also so great for building things since paint can look like one thing with the texture of another thing. All in all, the best game I have played under its light. Its also great since you can toggle blood off.
I love Terraria! Such a great game to get lost in, it's so much fun to just start digging and discover how vast it is underground, you never know what you may find. So many items and weapons, creatures and monsters, and of course bosses. I'm not crazy about the controls for the mobile version, I prefer playing it on my Switch when on the go, but it's still a 5-star game all day long regardless of platform. If you want a great sandbox game that isn't Minecraft, definitely give Terraria a try!
I have 150 hours on the mobile version. This is after ~200 hours on the PC version. The controls take some practice, but it's one of the best games I've ever played. The devs truly care about this game and you should try it. The only annoyance is only recently finding out I can open my inventory in my base, hit "quickstack", and items will fly out of my inventory and autosort to chests within 50 tiles or so. I've been manually sorting things for hundreds of hours now...
The Game is fantastic. It has lots of items, blocks, monsters, and NPCs. When you start the game for the first time it feels a little slow but after at least 3 or 4 hours of play time you will usually have a decently sized base, at least 3-4 NPCs, and decent enough armor for you to take on the easiest boss in the game. If the controls confuse you don't worry because you and always adjust the controls and this game supports Xbox One and Playstation 4 Controllers.
If you like sidescrollers and sandboxes you can't go wrong with Terraria. Hands down one of the best games in here and while the controls may have a learning curve they're perfect. The journey's end update improved everything drastically as well, I just wish updates would be more on par with the PC ones but other than that, it's fantastic. Kudos, re-logic and thank you, 505, for bringing it to mobile!
I can NOT say enough how much I love this game! I've logged in about 700+ hours on this game across every possible platform i can play on, and I'm still not tired of it. An astronomical amount of content, weapons, armors, and all manner of magic, a plethora of bosses and enemies to test them out on, beautiful pixel graphics in a time before it was a cliche indie trope, all pulled together with an outstanding soundtrack to boot! I don't think I'll be leaving it behind any time soon!
This is an absolute phenominal game. I have played hours of this game almost every time I get on it. I started playing again in early Jan and now have almost 300 hours. The music is a definite bop. The only issue I have is that it crashes from time to time, mostly when I'm trying to leave and save my worlds. Having autosave on may be really helpful in this case if you don't want to lose a large amount of progress. Other than that, the money to get this game is well worth it.
Edit: I had recently purchased a new phone, and the game now runs at a solid 60 fps, with the occasional dip into the mid 60's. I'm not sure if the jump from 6 to 8 gigs of RAM or the new processer helped but it's now flawless! My only grip are the controls but....you can't fix that, it is as good as it can get, and if anyone gripes too much then they can invest in a mouse and keyboard if they care so damn much. Five stars!
I've been playing for a long while, since early 1.2. Everything had improved since then: from the menu, the controls, and the visuals. The game has 4 different classes. They all have gear and items specialized for them. You fight many different bosses which have different strategies and abilitys attached to them. You explore from lush forests to underground glowing mushroom caves, and even a molten underworld. Wish I could say more, but you must play the game and enjoy it yourself.
Terraria is an experience like no other. The game is fun and challenging, with a slow progression that keeps you grinding for hours. It keeps the player on their toes with the random events that could occur, and has a large variety of things you could do; fishing, building, and fighting enemies, and you could invite friends to join in multiplayer. The devs are not like other ones, and are kind to the point of constantly adding features the community wants. Truly a 5/5, I honestly want more!
Awesome game. I play both the Steam version and this, and both work great. Fun fact: You can join a PC Server though mobile, as long as it isn't modded. Only problem is I like to play on a server with both Versions, and I have to give my stuff to my other account to switch. 😅 (And I need twice as many heart crystals.) Keep up the good work! Edit: I've had zero problems with the controls, wish all mobile games had that many options for them.
My first time playing this game on mobile was frustrating. The controls were awful, and I decided to stick to my PC version. Then, out of necessity, I tried it again. Using these "awful" controls, I blew through the game and slew the Moonlord in 22 hours. I give Terraria mobile a firm 5 stars, for it truly is one of the greatest games ever made. For all of you who are having trouble with the controls, keep practicing, and you'll get the hang of it in no time.
Amazing game. I have been a proud member of the mobile game for 13+ years now. I would really appreciate it if the ruler was more convenient. It's hard to measure when the farthest it goes is 15 blocks. Plus when you go farther using your finger, the number doesn't show due to the finger being in the way and it's very annoying when I want to make everything symmetrical. I also don't like where the settings button is. I keep hitting it when equipping my sword. Thanks 🥰
Definitely a classic; every time I come back into it, I am blown away by how intricate and engaging this game is, and it makes me wonder why I took a break from it at all. The combat is a little tough on mobile, however, mostly due to the dexterity challenge of pressing multiple buttons at once. There are some workarounds for this issue, and I can imagine it'd be a challenge to make mobile combat easier anyways (let alone this one, given how complex it is), but I think it could be improved, too.
Honestly, this is the perfect open-world sandbox game. It has an absurd amount of content (even without mods), an amazing soundtrack, and provides a lot to do. I tried to think of something negative to say about this, but truth be told, this game is on the same level of addiction inducing behaviour as Diablo 2. Go to multiple worlds, collect gear and items, take that back to your main world, forge even better stuff, rinse and repeat. Truly a game worth playing alone and with friends.
Terraria is an amazing game, and this port is no exception, it's the full Terraria 1.4 experience, the only problem is the controls, they're awful. I think the developers did the best they could, and in their defense, Terraria isn't a very good experience even on a controller, so there was no chance of a touchscreen being intuitive. The controls are definitely something you can get used to, as I've already adapted to it a bit, but I still highly recommend you use a controller if you can.
I love terraria! One of the ONLY 2D platform games that keeps me entertained. the game doesn't tell you what to do, so, if your braindead, or just hate taking 3 seconds to read a guide, its not your game. I've been playing this on and off with my brother for a LONG time... probably since it came out, honestly. TONS of hours of searching, looting, finding more efficient ways to become faster, repeat. 505 Games I believe, they did good with this one!
This is easily one of the top 3 to 5 absolutely best games you can play on mobile. Period. The controls aren't as bad as they look if you work with them, and other than that it's a fully-fledged (no, seriously, FULLY) survival game you can play on your phone. Like the greatest Gameboy game you never got to experience.
