this is the first sign that the series is becoming stale. the first game felt like a puzzle. the second elaborated on it. this game has you running between rooms to use items you found in another. the puzzles aren't puzzles so much as they are tasks. you get an item from one room, you go to the other room where you know instinctively that it goes, that gives you another item, rinse and repeat. it is more of an interactive memorization game.
Reviews for The Room Three
← Back to The Room ThreeBy far the best game of the trilogy, and one of the best puzzle games I have EVER played! Few games pull me into, and immerse me in, their world and lore the way this game did. It was worth every penny spent and every minute stumped! I will be playing through the entire trilogy again at some point, I am sure of that. I simply cannot recommend these games enough! Do yourself a favor and experience The Room for yourself!
I want MORE!! Seriously this game is genius. I love this kind of puzzle game and I've played many many 'escape room' games. This one blows them all out of the water. It's very challenging but still totally doable. Clues will poo occasionally only when you're struggling and only if you want. Literally the ONLY thing I would add is a map. I struggled at times to find my way around!
This IS a great game when you set up the save settings to play offline or from the cloud.. it is my go-to on flights and other long periods of time. the puzzles are challenging, graphics pull you in, as well as the music and sounds effects... I have played The Room 1, 2 and 3...and they are at the top of my list for puzzle style games. Great work and thank you (Fireproof Games) for being active in the comments/reviews.
A brilliant game! Amazing puzzles, story, and graphics. I loved the first two and then three brings a new perspective to the whole concept. Totally worth 4 bucks. Best part is, you can play through the games multiple times. It's still challenging the second time though. I still play the first two from time to time, and I sure will be revisiting this one again more than once. On to the next...
Actually worth the price. Normally I don't pay for mobile games but, this is the only game I have paid for. I actually own The Room 1-3 and The Room: Old Sins. All are excellent games and will not bore you like some other puzzle games do. This game is especially fun as it as four alternate endings for you to figure out. The puzzles can be a bit challenging at times but, not impossible. There are built in hints that are FREE! If/when the next one comez out, I'm getting that one as well.
This game is honestly the best puzzle app, possibly even best app overall that I have ever played. The puzzles were, at times, quite challenging. If you were stumped at any point, the hints served as a great tool to point you in the right direction. The graphics and lighting created a fantastic atmosphere to play through. I'll definitely be playing the other games in The Room series and I hope to see more from you guys in the future!
If you've played the first two Room games, this is more of the same in the best way possible. With one caveat. And this is likely a tad nit-picky. I came from playing The Room 1&2 on PC, and transitioning to touch controls was a little finicky, particularly puzzles that required simultaneous motions. That being said, the puzzles were all excellent and I have very few complaints with the game itself. Definitely a solid play got people who love puzzle boxes.
I've always been a fan of The Room, ever since I played the demo for the first game several years ago. So I knew I'd enjoy this one, I just hoped it would continue the trend of The Room 2 and be a longer, more fleshed out game. 3 hours and 47 minutes later I can confidently say that it absolutely delivered on that expectation. I found the story as gripping as most of the puzzles which is not something I expected. Speaking of puzzles, there are a LOT. And I mean a LOT. Fantastic game, 5/5
This game has a hold over my earlier gaming memories in childhood. Even when literally competing in PC games years later, I find myself coming back to visit the puzzles and story this game gives. This game is honestly better than a lot of puzzle games across a wide variety of platforms, and it's also on PC? AND they have a VR version? Crazy. Can't wait for the next installment after Old Sins.
This game is so great! I was looking for a mystery puzzle game that had the same feel as games I used to love as a kid. This is the perfect blend of Myst, Riven, Pandora's Box and Nancy Drew. The graphics are insanely awesome and you can tell how much thought and design went into this by the creators. If the rooms ever looked too dark I just cranked up my screen brightness and it was fine. I really hope they keep making these, I will happily buy them all!
If you're new to this series, these games are puzzle games that involve solving steampunkish Rube Goldberg machines to further a pseudo-Lovecraftian plot about secret alchemy. And if you're like me, you liked every part of that previous sentence. The Room 1 is still the best so far, however this game is a close second. It adds a real antagonist, a lot of depth, and multiple endings. It's the creepiest one so far.
Game play & story were stellar, & kept me wanting to know the entire story behind the game. Try to get all of the endings; very much worth the effort! UPDATE 01/24/19-The new update for The Room 3 deleted my saved profile; I had completed the game with all endings, and they are gone after the update. I don't think there is any way to get it back, so I guess I have to replay the game again...well played, Fireproof Games🤯.
Best puzzle and brain teaser games of all time. This company constantly amazes me. They think of all the details and make ot feel real. I cant explain how amazing this game is in just 500 characters. Being the best is a good and bad thing, lol once you reach the end of each game, you're stuck with horrible knock off games until the next version comes out! I cannot wait for the next room. (Hope they'll continue this story while I wait in agony) 🤣
Another 5 stars for FireProof Games! The puzzles are awesome, some are easier than others, but they keep you on your toes. This is not one of those mass produced super easy escape games that's Been showing up alot lately.. The only complaint I have is the shading in the scenes. Sometimes it's so dark I have to turn my phone light up almost all the way just to see. Besides that this game is perfect, I highly recommend it to advanced gamers!! Thank you FireProof, I can't wait for your next game!!!
Well worth the price. Clearly a lot of thought and effort went into the art and puzzle designs. Even the end is not really the end, as alt endings are possible. There will certainly be some game aspects you would want change, and some required actions will be glitchy, because you're playing on a mobile device, not real life, but you will definitely find it worth the purchase price. You can trust this review because it's mostly positive, despite the fact that I ended up imprisoned for eternity :(
i wanted to like this. I really did. it's beautifully made. but when I got stuck, going between rooms to try and find what I was missing felt like pulling teeth. I found myself checking the hints omw to things just to be sure I wasn't about to wander all the way to a wrong room again. and getting all the endings is so obtuse. I looked up a walkthrough just cause I didn't want to redo that dang final room more than I had to. I don't even know how it expects you to be so certain about going back.
I enjoyed this game immensely! I found most of the puzzles challenging but solvable. I became stuck 3 levels in and had to search the internet for my next move. That was the only time that the hints weren't enough. I also enjoyed the storyline, videos, and the general aesthetics of the game. There are absolutely no ads in this game, nor did I get pushed to spend more money at any time. Because of this and the inexpensive price, I am going to purchase the first two Room games in the future.
I absolutely loved the game. I also played the first and second ones. They are all great games. The details and the graphics are so cool. This one, in particular, was very in-depth. I love the storyline that goes with it. Great job by the devs. Their efforts really show through with the quality of the game. I had to go back to see all 4 endings!! I had a bit of control issues with the fine puzzles. Jumpy with slides and whatnot, but... wow, I really enjoyed this game!
Excellent game, beautifully constructed, great story. But, the navigation is tiresome, central rotation in most rooms, which makes mobility cumbersome, and the continual double tapping and pinching when working on the same problem, out and in and out and in... Oh my God. booooring... really detracts from an excellent story. the ending of R3 is too long. Puzzle after maze after puzzle. some of it is unnecessary.
