Reviews for Thronefall

Well well well. This is the best tower defence game I've ever played hands down. but one thing, please smooth out the graphics a little more. sometimes it looks like pixelated. otherwise, 10/10

Fun to play, can see why that other game ripped these guys off. Devs fixed the problem I was having with running the game on my new Pixel 10. Runs great again!

Pretty much a full "big company" level game, lots of variety and ways to play as each night the swarm grows.

Great game. Fun, intuitive and with a nice variety of levels and options. My only complaint is: please fix the performance on the Throneball challenge 😭

Progress is not saved. Gameplay is fun but what is the point when progress is not saved? Even on the same phone the progress is reset whenever I log in

I had hoped to see this come to mobile when I first saw it on YouTube, such good game and perfect for mobile. way way better than the imitations inspired by it. well worth the price too, especially to support the dev in their future games.

Amazing game, loved it on Steam and super glad it got ported to Android! Great port so far with no bugs that I've encountered yet. Well worth the money for this game!

this is basically the game you've been trying to play when you download all those misleading ads. this is the correct game. it definitely gets harder and you have to learn the different perks to maximize your scores. fun game to kill time.

Great game! Having troubles with some of my controllers. my Gamesir x2 pro with USBC will work correctly, but the Gamesir X2 Bluetooth cannot get recognized by the game. having a blast otherwise, touchscreen works pretty good.

Just started playing (thanks to youtuber Walruslimepie!) and game is great so far, it's got all the bits I like in tower defense (good variety of enemies, enough choices to make gameplay interesting but not overwhelming, easy to understand but not easy to beat)

What's not to love, it's Thronefall on mobile! Gameplay is good and enjoyable. A good port from desktop. Id just ask if the devs could give the ability to move the buttons slightly, as I find it difficult to sometimes press gallop at the edge of the screen. Still 5/5

amazing game on pc. great to see it on mobile. have yet to notice any issues with the port besides the inherent issue of using a touchscreen to move around which every mobile game has. great thing is the game makes it obvious that you can also connect a kbm or controller if you prefer. support indie devs by buying the actual game and not some knock-off microtransaction loaded adware (cough cough kingshot...)

Gameplay is incredibly fun but there's an issue with progress properly saving. I quit before beating an area, came back the next day and beat it, and afterwards when the map loaded it seemed to reset my progress/cancel that victory. It's frustrating to spend all of that time and energy just to have it not count.

Update: Issue has been fixed. Thanks to the developer for the response. Doesn't work on Pixel 10 Pro. When you get to the game map it displays only the progress icons over an otherwise black screen, so you can't get any further than that. would happily update my review if/when this gets fixed.

I loved playing this game on PC. Now I love it even more on my phone because I can okay this game anywhere. The simplicity of the play style is remarkable, the graphics is very cute and minimal. this is one of the best tower defense games out there. update: new phone. I used to have the Samsung S25 Ultra. The game played well. Now I have the Google pixel 10 pro XL. I can't play the game, it's a black screen for some reason. updated update. Thank you so much. I can see the game now

Excellent strategy game. Does away with messy, complicated systems of other games & goes for great gameplay instead. Simple games have been some of the most successful over decades. We don't need multilevel menus, detailed graphics, & long winded stories. Just get right into the game. It's simplicity doesn't mean it's easy though. You need the right balance of buildings, units & money earning to win. But it feels very rewarding when you get it right. The replay factor is high too.

*note: haven't finished the game, up to 3rd mission* I kept seeing an ad for a mobile game but saw from reviews that it was f2p but also pay to play and also pay to win and turned into PvP. I went searching for similar games and found that this was the original game that inspired the mobile game I was seeing ads for! It was good to know that this is a port of an actual game and that, while I can't compare it to the original platforms, it runs smoothly on my S24U. No overheating, no weird bugs.

This game is really great. I'm a big fan of the day/night cycle, the RTS like gameplay and the artwork. It's an easy 5 stars other than one issue that I have seen others share. When playing between my phone and my tablet, my progress doesn't seem to transfer over, and I'm having to replay levels and quests that I have completed before. As soon as that issue is rectified, I will update my rating. But overall, one of the best games on mobile I have had the pleasure of playing.

So happy this has been ported to mobile! Thronefall is a super fun, minimalist city builder/tower def game that offers a lot of depth and content. I typically play this on pc with controller; haven't tested controller here yet, but so far the touchscreen controls are very good. My only gripe with them is that it'd be nice if the 'gallop' button were a toggle instead of hold, or if there were an option for that in the settings, but they are among the better touchscreen controls I've played with.

this is a 5* game with a 4* port. I hope the devs can address the technical issues others are having, but overall I'm very pleased with it. the only bugginess I'm getting is that I'm asked to sign in every time, but that's a non-issue for me as long as the gameplay is good, which it is great. the only other feedback I'd like to give is the touch controls can occasionally be unintuitive, I feel like I'm working around them sometimes in the menus.
