Despite being an offline game, you need to be online for license validation. From time to time, due what seems to be a bug, the game stops working in the sense that traffic lights do not respond to you pressing on them (they remain red but cars keep coming). This can happen at any time, ruining what until then was a perfect game. Other than that, the game is awesome. Great concept, easy to learn, hard to master. It reminds me a lot of the nintendo's G&W of the 80s.
Reviews for Traffix: Traffic Simulator
For a minimal traffic puzzle game, love the road color! Intuitive controls, risky strategies, overall stressful but rewarding gameplay for casual perfectionists. New update quality is terrible though, with several new maps showcasing traffic lights that some cars just ignore or don't respond to. Haven't played the older maps to bug-test, especially because I don't play this for the bugs. As of now, impossible to get 3 stars (or pass) some maps due to collision bugs.
A fairly boring game in my opinion. The visuals are nice, and I can't comment on the audio since I played with the game muted. The goals take way too long to reach and the core gameplay loop isn't very interesting in my opinion. The first achievement is also broken and I can't comment on the rest of the achievements since I didn't make it far enough to get them.
I'm not much of a games person, and I flippin' love this game. I love puzzles and this game really hits a sweet spot for me with just-challenging-enough spatial puzzles that reward well-timed actions & rhythmic strategies. Four stars instead of five because when "cleaning up" the accidents I often end up triggering the traffic lights. It can feel frustrating when accident mitigation leads to yet more accidents. Still, I love the levels, the sleek design, & the color gradients. Really well done.
This is an awesome game, a great one. It's just that... there's no skip or help or anything like that button... At first it was really fun, easy to understand, but soon enough, once you get to the real hard ones, it's just really stressful and just sucks out the fun of it. Can't do it? Sucks to suck cause you're stuck there til ya beat it. It would be really great if there's a sort of "try again later" button so you can skip it for now, just that you haven't completed it..
It's not really even a traffic simulator. You're just timing lights against free flowing traffic if you like clicking lights at the right moment to send traffic you'll probably like this. *edit The game is essentially a novelty and has nothing to do with traffic simulation. It's basically if farming simulator was if they turned the game into that old app Zombie Farm where you just point and clicked on patches and then point and clicked to harvest them. If you're going to make the game into an actual traffic simulator, have the ability to create roadways with lights and stop signs to actually simulate traffic with an ever growing difficulty in how you actually manage the oncoming traffic with your building. Right now the game is nothing resembling a simulator I'd call it something between a classic arcade game or wave survival game.
Great fun game that keeps you entertained for a while. Highly recommend. However, here are a few things that could use improvement. The hit areas throughout the game are too small, and the navigation main menu forces you to scroll only on the text and doesn't show you the stars for each level until you are hovering over it. Would also really like to see Google play support where there are achievements such as getting through all the levels with three stars and completing chaos mode.
Absolutely love this game. The levels get progressively more challenging, and the option to play in chaos mode adds an extra level for each city. In a recent update, it seems luxor and taupo were added, but I can't figure out how to unlock them (I've completed all levels in normal mode, two levels aren't done in chaos mode). Would appreciate any help in figuring out how to play the new levels. Edit: I'll have to keep trying to finish the last two levels in chaos mode! Excited to keep playing
I love this game! First, if you have 2 minutes or 2 hours you can have an excellent experience. Second, levels get progressively more challenging which makes the game fun and exciting. I've played levels I've beat multiple times again and again because it's still a challenge and still fun. Give the game a try and I think you'll enjoy it too. Good job developers!
Good game, but it requires an internet connection to start. As well, right now it's completely having trouble connecting so it won't start up at all. But even if that's a temporary server error, I play mobile games almost entirely on the subway, so this game just isn't going to work. I really hope they can update it to not need the connection to start up. Update: They've updated the game apparently so that was pretty cool.
