Description
Been playing Umamusume: Pretty Derby for a couple months now. It’s basically a sports life simulation game where you train up these anime horse girls (called Umamusume) and race them against other players. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do: you recruit different Umamusume, each with their own stats and special abilities. Then you can train them, customise their outfits, and enter them in races. There’s also a social aspect where you can join a club and chat with other players. Took me a while to figure some of that out but it’s a nice addition.
Look, if you’re into anime and strategy games, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels and the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it does the job and is worth checking out if you’re looking for a new mobile game.

So here's my honest take on Umamusume: Pretty Derby. I've tested a bunch of anime-style mobile games and this one's actually pretty solid. The graphics look great and it runs smoothly even on my older phone. There's a good amount of strategic depth in terms of training your Umamusume and building the optimal team. But it doesn't feel overwhelming either. The social features are a nice bonus too. My only real complaint is that it can get repetitive and the upgrade grind gets pretty tedious at higher levels. Overall though, I'd say it's worth a download if you're a fan of the genre.
