So here's my honest take on Universal Paperclips. I've tested a bunch of these idle/management style games and this one's pretty solid. The core gameplay loop of constantly expanding your paperclip production is really satisfying, and I like the strategic depth with all the different upgrades and technologies to unlock. The clan battles add a nice social element too. On the downside, the progression can get a bit repetitive and grindy at higher levels, and the ads are more intrusive than I'd like. But overall, it's a polished game that scratches that itch for an addictive time-waster.

Description

Been playing Universal Paperclips for a couple months now. It’s basically an idle/management game where you start off as a company making paperclips and have to grow your business. There’s a ton of strategic depth to it – you’re constantly optimizing production, investing in new tech, and trying to beat your competitors.

Here’s what you do: you start off making paperclips manually, then automate the process, then keep expanding and upgrading your factory. And there’s also an interesting storyline with an AI that takes over – it’s got some dark humor to it. And you can join clans and battle against other players, which is pretty fun. Took me a while to figure that part out though.

Look, if you’re into these kind of strategy/simulation games, you’ll probably like Universal Paperclips. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can get grindy and the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want an addictive time-waster.
