Love this game 💜 it is my go to game, out of all my games when I just want to relax. I even have it on my xbox series x. I do wish there was more, like maybe when their child grows up ya know? Then tell that characters story just to keep it going, but obviously different from their parents. I'd play it though, especially if it still has like the same calming music and sounds of the unpacking and such. So calming 😌
Reviews for Unpacking
← Back to UnpackingLoved the game on PC and having it on mobile as well is a delight, my only complaint is about the performance, for a pixel art puzzle game it heats up my phone more than if I play Dead Cells for example (my specs are 4GB RAM & Snapdragon processor). Hopefully the game will receive some optimizations to fix the issue, otherwise 10/10 game!!
Hi! I just want to say this game is really fun, and a good time spender. It's got a cute story, and it's fun being able to sort of customize her home environment, even if just a little bit. But I do have a complaint, I got to the house that has the entryway, and then the next time I entered the game, all of my progress got wiped, like I had to select a new book and everything. It's a little irritating because now I have to restart, so I gave it a 3. This game is great otherwise though!
Very soothing and relaxing game. Price was definitely worth it. Hoping that in the future some simple information about the items there would be included. I didn't really understand why some items looked like they could be put inside the cabinet but cannot be put there.
I love this game and am honored to be one of the first moble players. That said it's pretty much the switches touch controls ported to the phone. If you already have it there's no need to get it again unless you're like me and just wanna play it every where I've played this game from like day one and I recommend it without a doubt it's my favorite non RPG indie game :)
Overall fun game. However, super short. There are only 8 levels. I'm glad I didn't buy this on the switch for just over £15 as that would have been a rip-off, personally I think £9 is a bit expensive for what you get.
I've seen this game suggested in Instagram comments, as soon as I saw I could just buy it I did. I'm so tired of apps asking for subscriptions or putting way too much ads to the point of making the game unplayable. Thank you for this, I really miss the time we could just buy the game and play peacefully. Edit : I finished the game and loved it, it made me think of my life as I just got separated and I'm between places. Great game, a bit short and repetitive but fun. Worth it for me
It's one of my favourite game on pc. I don't really know why, but it helped me a lot. So you can guess how glad I am there's now a mobile version ! To help improve it, I must say it's rather energy consuming. Plus, and that's more inconvenient, it erased my save (maybe because I didn't properly close the app ?). At least I have a new reason to replay it o/
A fun, rewarding, calming/zen game. I love the way the story unfolds as you go through each stage, and the satisfaction once everything is in the perfect place. The gameplay is easy to use, and the graphics are so cute. I do wish there could be a few more "stories" to unpack - but that is a testament to how creative this game is :)
Unpacking has a very special place in my heart. It's a true indie gem that with its super simple mechanics and premise manages to still move me and make me feel at peace at the same time. it's a super short game but in today's slog of Pay to Win and in app purchases. this is a rare gem you don't want to miss out on
Looking at the reviews, I can understand why someone may not want to pay $10-$15 for it, but this game is exactly what I like. While I do wish there were more levels (I think a grandma-style home would be cute) I don't mind the repetitiveness of it so this is a game I will play over and over again. If you enjoy a calm, predictable, and easy game, this is exactly for you. (I also appreciate the option for a puzzle and non puzzle mode)
Unpacking is a pretty good game and it kept me focused. Its cute, calming and you can arrange anything to how you want, although some things need to be put away in a different room - which adds to the realism of human error of putting things in the wrong boxes :) Although it is a pretty short game, I love it. It is a wonderful game to take my time in, and really get into detail with Unpacking :)
An exceptional game. Relaxing, beautiful and fun. The not so subtly hidden plot through out has such a lovely ending as well.
Game is extremely short. Not worth paying $10 for. I finished it after just a few hours and am writing this review less than 24 hours after purchased it. it has potential, but in the current state it is not something I would have paid for had i known how short it was.
I am torn about my rating. On the one hand, I loved playing it. I love how each place tells the story of the main character. The game is soothing and it's cute. On the other hand, there are only eight levels. I was thinking I had completed the first world, not the entire game. That was really disappointing. Ultimately I'm giving it five stars because it was a great game and I didn't encounter any bugs. But the main story is pretty short (maybe 5 hours?) for how much the game costs.
I loved this game on PC when it first came out and recently recommended it to a friend who had just moved. I figured I'd try the mobile version just to see if it held up. It's still fantastic. Well made, fun to play, chill pacing, sweet music and art style. I won't spoil the story, but it is lovely and well worth playing.
Loved the game at first... Until it crashed and I lost all progress and save files. I emailed support (via the play store app support link) but the person I emailed said, "Regarding the issue you're experiencing with the SLAY THE SPIRE, please refer to our Humble Article..." I have no idea what Slay The Spire is but it's not Unpacking. So even their support isn't helpful. I don't know if I want to continue with the game if it's going to crash again.
One of my top favourite games. Unpacking is exactly the kind of game that's completely fun and satisfying to play. As mentioned there are no timers and you can arrange and unpack at your own pace, how you place the items in the rooms is completely up to you with a few exceptions and there's a "free mode" where even that limitation is completely removed. The story is very sweet as well and the ending credits song is absolutely beautiful. The sound design and effects are also really great.
No idea what happened, but as of late it never opens. I press on the app to open, it opens for a split second and immediately closes/sends me back to my home screen. Great game otherwise, when it works. Edit - contacted support who responded quickly and acknowledged that this is a known issue and are working on a fix. No ETA, but at least it's known. For those who did not buy this yet, please dont as it will not work (as you can see from recent reviews).
Played it on switch, and just had to get it on mobile as well. Great chill game, just perfect to relax to, enjoy the relaxing music, as you unpack things. Cool thing is there is some odd stuff out can do like placing items in odd places to get stickers/achievements for. No time limits to worry about, and you can even set the game to let you place items anywhere you want. Game tells its story through unpacking from place to place.
