Description
Been playing Upwords for a couple months now. It’s basically a 3D word game where you stack letters to create new words and score points. Pretty solid app if you’re into strategy and word games.
Here’s what you do: you build words horizontally and vertically, and then you can stack letters on top of existing ones to make new words. There’s also an online multiplayer mode, which is pretty cool. And there’s a computer opponent with different difficulty levels – took me a while to figure that out but it’s a useful feature.
Look, if you’re into word games and strategy, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels and the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Upwords. I've tested a bunch of word game apps and this one's pretty solid. Tons of strategic depth without being overwhelming, and the 3D twist on classic word games is really well done. The graphics look great and run smooth even on my older phone. Plus it's free to play, so you don't need to spend money to enjoy it. But it does get a bit repetitive after a while, and the upgrades can be a real grind at higher levels. Overall though, if you're a fan of word games, I'd say Upwords is worth a download.
