Wasted a lot of my time saving and collecting diamonds/gold to purchase a pattern to later find out that those items have EXPIRATION DATES?? In other words, they want you to earn something and then will they take it away so that you have to keep playing to purchase it all over again. Umm, NO. That's called shady. If your game is good enough people will keep playing, but not by manipulation. Business policy is all wrong is here.
Reviews for War Machines:Tanks Battle Game
← Back to War Machines:Tanks Battle GameGreat experience. The game play is fun. Patience is required for advancement unless you want to spend some money. Even then, without judicious use of resources you become target practice for the ones who spend money and the bot tanks from much higher tiers. But that makes the game realistic. And I have noticed a lot more tank games trying to cash in on the popularity of War Machines. Regardless, they don't overload you with annoying adds! One of the best games out there!
Not nearly as good as World of Tanks Blitz but still fun for what it is. The tank movement controls are terrible and require practice just to figure them out. Not intuitive at all, especially if you've played other tank games (or are familiar with how real tanks maneuver). Turret control should be independent from maneuverability. Movement in this game is dictated by turret direction. It's more frustrating than it sounds. Good luck mastering it.
Sucks Big-time!! The ad for this game made it seem like it was going to be amazing. YEAH RIGHT!! The graphics suck, the controls are all over the place, and what sense does it make for you to only be able to upgrade 1 item at a time? You start the game with zero diamonds but there's an option to speed up upgrades for [x] amt of diamonds. A con for you to spend money.👎
fun. but takes a loooong time to get ahead of the game. and the endless push to purchase a subscription to the game (premium member) which has a recurring fee is a bit of a turn off. the tank itself is a total pain in the *** to control. the directional control (joystick) isn't based on the way your vehicle is facing, ie pull back to reverse, but is based on the direction you are looking OR moving. backing out of a bad position and you want to turn right as you go, you have to pull back and left... unless your turret is facing say, right. then you move the stick right and up. I've died too many times because of this directional snafu... one additional comment... I've gotten two platinum boxes with some special ammo... both times the special ammo disappeared and I never got to use it.
Seems pretty fun so far, just wish you could fine tune the sensitivity for the controls. Update they are charging a fortune 4 super tanks which leave you banging your head on the wall and upgrade prices make it not as enjoyable as it was. Sorry I'm not spending real-world money just so I can one shot everybody on the field. They better level the playing field better or this game is going the way of the dinosaurs as far as I'm concerned.
It is a fun game at first. The upgrades work well at first. At level two, during the battles it is one-sided and unfair. The upgrade specials are fairly priced and then there are others that are very expensive. There's a lot of cherry picking the power up after you destroy other tanks. Other reviews mention, you shoot other tanks many times with little damage, then you get destroyed with one or two shots. Sometimes it happens in your favor also, less often.
I enjoy playing the game, but it gets annoying that I have to shoot tanks 6 or 7 times to kill them and they can shoot me once or twice to kill me. Would like an even playing field. Also, have to update every few days with no improvement. A lot of times I can shoot a tank 10, 15 times and not destroy it, but can get shot once and I'm destroyed. Pretty sure that if I subscribed it would get better, but I'm not gonna pay to play this game.. also, 6 updated so far this week
Decent game but they intentionally make you pay to play. It starts off free but if you want to buy upgrades, ammo, tanks etc it will cost you. You pay mostly in diamonds. But in order to receive diamonds you have to pay for diamond offers, crates, and packages. As you progress in the game everything becomes more expensive. It's truly a freaking shame they are ripping people off for a simple game.
I have to agree with the several who also rated a 1. You have to keep buying (with real money) to keep getting kills. When I bought, I would average 10 kills a game. When I cut back my purchases, I was getting killed even by tanks nowhere in sight. Some tanks seemed to have automatic reloads while Mine was always slow to load. Play this game only if you have money to blow because you certainly will.
I had to choose 1 star because there's no option for Zero star. It's a 100% pay to play game. super expensive. Even recently you can't play events without buying pattern, decals, and ammo. Every game has in app purchases but you still can play and enjoy. But this one you won't enjoy getting killed in one shot by players who pay money. You won't even advance or compete at all.
At first the fame was fun and had a stable platform. If you want to get any where and keep up with competitors, you have to pay into the game. However, in the month the game has become glichy, unstable, and a frustrating game play. The developers don't seem to care but just about the money making buy new ammo to play for rewards that don't equal what you put in.
Uses every scummy tactic in the book to force people to spend $$$ to eek any enjoyment out of the game. Energy/fuel system limiting how much gold you can earn, wait times to upgrade the various parts of your tank, winning games earns chests that you have to wait to unlock. But of course you can get around all of this with...you guessed it, diamonds. Additionally you can purchase customizations for tanks that give them even more power with... you guessed it, diamonds. Same old dog, no new tricks.
Upon original assessment of this app, I thought this will be very cool for a mobile device and would have given it a 5 star rating. I thought this even when I figured out you can pay a considerable amount of money to become a premium member in order to expedite upgrades, etc. At some point, the game starts locking the diamonds that I had collected in a vault and forcing me to pay $ in order unlock them. This just took all of the fun out of the game for me.
The game would actually be really cool if it wasn't for glitches, freezing, and most importantly money taking tactics. You would think they would care about a paying customer. You know so that I would play and continue to spend money. But after several attempts ( about 8-10 ) of contacting support I never even got a response. Not even 1 response. Weeks of waiting I finally gave up and deleted the scamming app. Didn't even have issues till I spent 40 and didn't even get to use it
The real "winners" on this game are the people who designed it, not the wallet warriors who spend a small fortune just to kill a few extra imaginary tanks! If you want to be competitive, be prepared to spend some serious money to do so, but you better hope the designers don't walk away from this game like the did from Sniper 3D! It could be a much better game if there was some resemblance of an actual balance between players, but it's about getting you to spend a lot of money to try and keep up.
This game has great strategy, skill, and teamwork mixed in with the fun of leveling up to higher ranks! The only thing I find difficult when using the phone is while moving, shooting, and involving the different ammunition and power ups is trying to additionally move the turret. But, it could be I simply need more experience. This game is so much fun and, to get really good, it definitely takes a lot of skill!
Joystick is slow 50% of the time. Sometimes gun fires when you want to go to scope/aim.... No instructions on how to use/implement power ups. Tanks spawn right behind u w/one shot one kill. Tanks disappear as your shooting at them. Its also too slow to get to run sometimes when u want to play( like right now ) . I would NOT recommend this game to anyone.....
Game starts out okay, but the only way to succeed is if you spend money and pay for premium. Because as you upgrade your tank as a free player, any of the paid players just destroy you and it makes it not very fun just getting destroyed time and time again. Also hard to play the game with pop-up ads and "limited time deal, spend 50 bucks" popping up every 2 seconds. We get it, you want us to spend money. If they did away with the constant annoyance would definitely give more stars.
Cool game and graphics, but they won't allow you to be competitive unless you pay to play. After a very short time, gameplay, tournaments, rewards, contests, bonuses, and every other extra, is heavily weighted to those who buy and buy often. You will be penalized and ranked against much higher levels (those who buy power-ups), who can one-shot destroy you. You will need 10 shots, and half won't register. I get that this is a business, but there is no need to mislead folks. I'm over it!!!
