Wasted a lot of my time saving and collecting diamonds/gold to purchase a pattern to later find out that those items have EXPIRATION DATES?? In other words, they want you to earn something and then will they take it away so that you have to keep playing to purchase it all over again. Umm, NO. That's called shady. If your game is good enough people will keep playing, but not by manipulation. Business policy is all wrong is here.
Reviews for War Machines:Tanks Battle Game
Great experience. The game play is fun. Patience is required for advancement unless you want to spend some money. Even then, without judicious use of resources you become target practice for the ones who spend money and the bot tanks from much higher tiers. But that makes the game realistic. And I have noticed a lot more tank games trying to cash in on the popularity of War Machines. Regardless, they don't overload you with annoying adds! One of the best games out there!
Not nearly as good as World of Tanks Blitz but still fun for what it is. The tank movement controls are terrible and require practice just to figure them out. Not intuitive at all, especially if you've played other tank games (or are familiar with how real tanks maneuver). Turret control should be independent from maneuverability. Movement in this game is dictated by turret direction. It's more frustrating than it sounds. Good luck mastering it.
Sucks Big-time!! The ad for this game made it seem like it was going to be amazing. YEAH RIGHT!! The graphics suck, the controls are all over the place, and what sense does it make for you to only be able to upgrade 1 item at a time? You start the game with zero diamonds but there's an option to speed up upgrades for [x] amt of diamonds. A con for you to spend money.👎
fun. but takes a loooong time to get ahead of the game. and the endless push to purchase a subscription to the game (premium member) which has a recurring fee is a bit of a turn off. the tank itself is a total pain in the *** to control. the directional control (joystick) isn't based on the way your vehicle is facing, ie pull back to reverse, but is based on the direction you are looking OR moving. backing out of a bad position and you want to turn right as you go, you have to pull back and left... unless your turret is facing say, right. then you move the stick right and up. I've died too many times because of this directional snafu... one additional comment... I've gotten two platinum boxes with some special ammo... both times the special ammo disappeared and I never got to use it.
Seems pretty fun so far, just wish you could fine tune the sensitivity for the controls. Update they are charging a fortune 4 super tanks which leave you banging your head on the wall and upgrade prices make it not as enjoyable as it was. Sorry I'm not spending real-world money just so I can one shot everybody on the field. They better level the playing field better or this game is going the way of the dinosaurs as far as I'm concerned.
It is a fun game at first. The upgrades work well at first. At level two, during the battles it is one-sided and unfair. The upgrade specials are fairly priced and then there are others that are very expensive. There's a lot of cherry picking the power up after you destroy other tanks. Other reviews mention, you shoot other tanks many times with little damage, then you get destroyed with one or two shots. Sometimes it happens in your favor also, less often.
I enjoy playing the game, but it gets annoying that I have to shoot tanks 6 or 7 times to kill them and they can shoot me once or twice to kill me. Would like an even playing field. Also, have to update every few days with no improvement. A lot of times I can shoot a tank 10, 15 times and not destroy it, but can get shot once and I'm destroyed. Pretty sure that if I subscribed it would get better, but I'm not gonna pay to play this game.. also, 6 updated so far this week
Decent game but they intentionally make you pay to play. It starts off free but if you want to buy upgrades, ammo, tanks etc it will cost you. You pay mostly in diamonds. But in order to receive diamonds you have to pay for diamond offers, crates, and packages. As you progress in the game everything becomes more expensive. It's truly a freaking shame they are ripping people off for a simple game.
I have to agree with the several who also rated a 1. You have to keep buying (with real money) to keep getting kills. When I bought, I would average 10 kills a game. When I cut back my purchases, I was getting killed even by tanks nowhere in sight. Some tanks seemed to have automatic reloads while Mine was always slow to load. Play this game only if you have money to blow because you certainly will.
