First, the game is absolutely nothing like the ad. I actually started looking forward to getting the ad so I could play it, so I downloaded. At first I thought there must be some backstory game play before you get to the real thing, but nope. And as you can guess, after a bit you won't be able to play without paying. also some weird drama is going on with this game IRL, because the devs put out an announcement about people talking smack and spreading rumors of what's happening in their office
Reviews for Whiteout Survival
Deceit Survival, could be the new title. So it appears $ was spent from the Devs for WS to be a promoted AD in other games, videos, etc. However, how this was done, was with a "Candy Bar", something small, simple & sweet of an ad mini-game that, never appears in the actual game. What you end up getting is a "HUGE Gourmet menu" of a game. Same as MANY other games, overwhelming time investment & angles for a repeated real financial investment. Shame, because many would stay in WS it candy on menu.
It's definitely fun but absolutely NOTHING like the ads and the Play Store page says single player. It is only single player at the beginning. Then it is highly PvP. You WILL BE raided and lose resources and troops. Used to play another game with an identical format but I'm tired of the fight just to keep your stuff if you can't login for a few days. Ready for a casual single player. This is not it.
I tested this game in an ad where the polar bears were attacking but the game isnt at all like that. I do love city building type games which this is similar but its not why I was interested in playing it at all. The mini game ad is deceiving. I'm uninstalling the game. Unless the game changes to include the gameplay advertised and expected, I'm not recommending and will take my time and money elsewhere.
over been playing for a week just to be fair, but the gameplay has no relation to the adds. you tap a piece of land with a box around it, tap build, wait. rinse and repeat with increasing wait times. to pass the time waiting you can explore. use heros to explore and gather resources by placing them on a grid and tap flight. you can even tell it to auto fight. if your numbers are bigger you win.
There's too much going on with the game. Lots of random terminology, hard to follow things. The gear to upgrade seems unnecessary. There's just too much going on with the game. Plus, like it's been said before, it's nothing like the ads. I'm uninstall ING it now because I just realised that this is not the game I wanted nin the first place! 😅
Linear game designed for wealthy people who don't like critical thinking. The base game loop is not fun, it it just an endless management grind with pretty colors and animations. The game is constantly asking for your money to progress faster, but there is no strategy to it. Your choices don't really matter that much in terms of base gameplay. For example, there is no technique to growing your economy efficiently other than paying money or grinding. Also, there is no killing bears for meat.
I'm rating the ad actually. I have been playing the game for over 2 years. It's NOT AT ALL like these new ads or "screenshots". I have no clue where they are getting these screenshots. This is NOT the gameplay. This game is a alliance based war game with some little mini games that come and go based on the calendar. There is one mini game that does have some of these elements in it, but that's all. The main game is NOTHING like the new ads. Why they decided to be so misleading, I have no clue.
have gone months back-and-forth with customer support for a basic issue. Every response ranged from "I don't understand the issue" to "do you have a screenshot?" to "please describe the issue in more detail" to "you aren't checking the time zone conversion" (completely unrelated) to "we don't see any issue". Now they suddenly don't have a record of me ever submitting the issue. Between that and the pay-to-play stalemate of a game it's just not worth your time. EDIT: Facebook message was IGNORED!
Fake ads, the game play is just very boring updating of a town. nothing like the ads or the sample game play. i spent hours upgrading trying to see if it eventually becomes the game they advertise but I never saw it. so don't waste your time if you are hoping for the fun collecting of meat, serving, collecting money, hiring more hunters, it's not that game. that's just false advertising like so many games are doing these days.
