Every single update for the last few months has the app crashing after Every.Single.Game.Play!!! Sometimes just opening up the next game causes a crash. The ads will play and upon hitting the "X" to exit, you guessed it, another crash! Uninstalling and reinstalling nor these so called bug fixes have resolved the constant ongoing issue. I have no other tabs open and have cleared the cache and cookies. Get it together already WWF :'(

it's ok, but the irritating ads don't even give you coins now, just things you don't use. ads are ridiculously long for not even getting to collect coins you could use. Coins are the only useful item and the only way to get them is $$ and I'm not doing that on a game. also, now the ads are double and you literally have to click off them 4 times to get them gone. if you play without needing any help, good, but be warned, ads are worst ever.

Ads after EVERY PLAYED WORD is beyond overkill. We all know ads are required to "play for free" but this is infuriating. I want to play a really great game and support you guys, but cannot continue. The ads take longer than finding a word. I refuse to pay TEN $ a month for a "pass." Just give us a purchase app or "ad-free" option that doesn't cost $120/year. What a rip off.

It's not near as good as it used to be. Too often, you now have to watch 2 ads for rewards, and the ads now require you to have to click 3 to 4 times just in order to close the ad and return to your game. Additionally, now you only receive 2 reward coins, whereas in the past, the award was 3 coins. They have also reduced the daily limit of videos you can watch for rewards.

I'm changing my review. I'm very upset that this game now has a black rounded square on the bottom with white arrows that covers where you shuffle your letters. It interrupts the game where it doesn't have to. I'm very upset and I wish they would remove it. I like the app. I like playing, but they've done things to really disrupt the game players playing

I am uninstalling because of the sheer amount of ads that now take you longer to get out of. You have to pay $10 USD every 30 days to remove ads, there is no permanent option. And then you have ads between every 1 to 2 moves. it makes gameplay 1000% awful and not enjoyable. I would pay for permanent ad removal but NEVER would I pay for temporary.

Everything is now pushing you to spend money. Watching ads aren't worth it anymore and they give you the worst letter combinations. Previously there would be an option of some word for decent points even if it was a difficult word. Now the letter combinations are so bad you are lucky to have an opportunity to score 10 points and use 2 letters at a time.

I will give it some time to see if this is addressed or not, if not, I will delete the game. I understand the need for ads but they are so excessive, it is becoming so annoying, I do not even want to play. There usually is at least one ad after every word I play and many times there are 2 ads after every word I play. I am very close to deleting it please try to tone it down so I don't have to.

Fun game, but the ads are so long, and designed to trick you into clicking on them, despite clicking on the X, or worse, won't display an X, and you have to exit the game to get back to it. It's free, so...you deal with the annoyance. Gamewise, it's nice to be paired with other players with similar ability.

Love this game and get to play with my friend overseas. However, the ads drive me crazy. There is an ad after EVERY game!! Some are quite lengthy and seem to take forever, which leads to frustration, and I head off and play a different game. 😡 Thank you for responding 🌹 I also play another version of Scrabble, which does have advertising. However, they only occur after 3 games. I understand you need the revenue, but how about ads after every second game! 😉😁😁

the ads are aggressive, and some are hard to close. and the Shein banner add, keep trying to open the Shein app. I had to uninstall the Shein app, but it still tries to open the app, interrupting my game, and it pops up even when I am looking at other ads. I have been reporting it for months with no change, I even sent in an email. I dont think the report ads link does nothing.

update 9/26/2025 Haha, I wrote this review in 2019, still does the same thing. WOW . Been an avid user of this game since it came out. Used to work great, I buy the ad-free bundle & keep it on my acct, but lately it hasn't been working & every time I try to buy it I get an error message. Tech support's solution is to have me buy the coin package that is priced the same, send them a copy of my receipt, then if I'm lucky, in a few days they put the ad-free bundle on my account.

The Temu ads are terrible. When it FINALLY gives an "X" to click after the ad plays, there's another "X" to click out of. Sometimes, there's a 3rd "X." If you don't touch the "X" PRECISELY, you're subjected to the Temu site that takes even longer to get out of. Also, many times when I watch the daily ads for coins, an ad won't fully load. This seems to happen most after I have 400 coins. Yesterday, I fully watched 5 videos and then an "error" box popped up and I did not receive any coins.

I don't know how long I've been using this app, I love the game and have some very serious competition going. HOWEVER. I fully understand and realise that ads drive the product and generate income.. BUT.. the ads are getting out of hand, if you can't even see the board you've played for waiting....Game techs Please!! give us the opportunity to use the useless keys collected for "new frames" to unlock a month of ad free play. it'll help in the long term.

way too many REPETITIVE ads, ESPECIALLY "LEVIS". Every time it appears, the ap freezes, and I am forced to close and reopen to continue playing. but after so many times, I don't rejoin the game. it is annoying, and the rewards are not worthy of all the time one would dedicate to the game. it depends on your loyalty to your word friends. if the ads weren't so annoying, it would be great!

Update 3 Feb 2025: The game groups players instead of by last play. So you're stuck playing the same person while longevity with others disappears. Leave it based on last played.****** The most recent update has ruined the game. Blank screens for 30 seconds. The game is constantly going to a game that wasn't selected. The notifications don't disappear when you view them. This has gone from something great to something that is burdensome. I used to use this game to escape.

SMH. Deleting app cause it's absolutely ridiculous to have to open the app 3, 4 or maybe 5 times just to get it to load. Maybe that don't even work. It's not my phone, not my Wi-Fi, not cache build up or any of that, it's your app. I'm not the only one experiencing this either. Do developers even try their own apps and see how they operate........

The ads are an abomination and make the game completely unplayable. I could see having banner advertisements, maybe even an ad every 5 turns or so, but after every single word I play? Forget about it. Disgusting money grab from what used to be a nostalgic and mentally stimulating game. It's now mind numbing with the sheer amount of ads. I almost forgot the best part. You can purchase no ads .... for 7 days. For a month. It's a recurring subscription to have no ads. MONEY HUNGRY DEVS.

I understand that most of my "Friends" appear to be bots. I suppose I can tolerate that, but it's ridiculous that the letters I get while playing bots are too often the worst possible combinations. It's not uncommon for me to get 3 E's, 2 I's, and 2 U's, for example. If this keeps up, I'll probably delete the app. not much fun when that happens.

The game is great, the ads are definitely still a bit of a distraction but I do believe it's improved to where it's easier to find and X out of the add, less freezing, but now there are random "players, or challengers" that will challange you and are basically bots. Also some of the challenges cheat you out of the rewards, I've beaten quite a bit of the daily challenges and or cross words and never got any kind of reward as promised.
