Description
Been using Acode – code editor | FOSS for a couple months now. It’s basically a powerful code editor and web IDE for Android. Pretty solid app if you’re into mobile development.
Here’s what you can do: you can write and edit code, there’s a bunch of syntax highlighting options, and it’s got this new plugin system which lets you expand the functionality. Took me a while to figure that part out but it’s pretty useful once you get the hang of it.
Look, if you’re an Android dev who needs a capable on-the-go code editor, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit cluttered at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Acode - code editor | FOSS. I've tested a bunch of code editors for Android and this one's definitely one of the more feature-packed options. And the Ace Editor core is really solid and the new plugin system adds a ton of functionality. But it can also feel a bit overwhelming at first with all the options. Personally, I prefer something a little more streamlined, but if you don't mind the learning curve, Acode is a pretty powerful mobile coding tool.
