Description
I’ve been using AutoRemote for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control your phone, PC, and even web services from anywhere. Pretty solid if you’re into that kinda stuff.
Here’s what you can do – you can send push notifications to your phone and then use Tasker or the AutoRemote app to react to them. And there’s also IFTTT integration, so you can connect it to tons of other apps and services. Took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s pretty powerful once you get the hang of it.
Look, if you’re the kind of person who likes to tinker and have full control over your devices, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of AutoRemote. It’s not perfect – the learning curve is a bit steep and the UI could be more user-friendly. But overall, it does the job and is worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
I've tested a bunch of remote control and automation apps, and AutoRemote is one of the more powerful and flexible ones I've seen. The IFTTT integration is a big plus, and I like how you can basically control anything from your phone. And the downside is it takes some time to set up and figure out all the features. But if you're willing to put in the effort, it's a pretty capable tool to have in your arsenal.
