7/7/24 - Several changes in the last year have undermined the platform's purpose. It was originally a simple place to connect with your friends, but now they have added unremovable celebrity account suggestions and even ads in the feed. I get that they want to make money somehow, but this seriously damages the warm, simple feeling of the app. I'm not sure if I would still recommend it to others.

App freezes constantly. Super frustrating. The same thing is happening to my group of friends and if you read the reviews here, it's happening to everyone. Screen goes black when trying to open the app after the notification. After a few hard stops, it my work but it's always late to posting even though we send within the time frame.

Still have the same issues as before. I stopped receiving consistent notifications. Also, once again a social media platform has added stupid celebrity ads that make me want to delete the app! I am slowly getting rid of social media, so perhaps BeReal is gone too.... Also, when I click on the bereal notifications that do sometimes pop up, the app will not open and will just stay a black screen. The point is to be on time....I can't do that if the app doesn't work :/

I love Bereal. It's so fun. But the thing is for Andriod it doesn't have Fast Camera. I've updated the app, deleted it and downloaded it back. Whenever I take the selfie it doesn't take it right away, the box turns black and it takes a few seconds to actually take the selfie so you can't see what you look like. It's really annoying. Please fix it, or just give Andriod fast camera option.

When I take a BeReal it doesn't post then I have to post a new one late. BeReal goes off at the same time everyday, it never goes off later in the day anymore. When I click on the notification it opens up a black screen and I have to open and close the app multiple times to get it to work. It never works through the notification anymore. Everyone I know with BeReal is having the same issues.

I love bereal, but sometimes it doesn't let me post so I lose my streak. When I hit the post button, it just loads forever and won't post. I lost my 356 streak from this. Also, there are many updates that are happening but not on my end. I go to the app store and there isn't an update button on the app. An example is the roulette and the video, I do not have these things which is really disappointing. Other than that, it's a great way to connect with other people and share your experiences.

I really used to like this app. It's a great concept to see what people are up to, and limiting the amount of time on it. But now it's having a problem when the notification goes off. It lets me take a picture, but it says that the upload failed. It doesn't give me the option to retake, and the refresh arrow won't work. It's frustrating because it cancels your streak of days in a row. At first I thought it was bc I had bad service, but it happens even if I am connected to wifi or have good data.

Broken experience. After re-installing a few times to make sure it want my pixel 7 pro, I'm here to state that posting is broken. Over the last month or so, I've routinely experienced posting failures where I take my photo in the 2-minute window, the little upload animation happens, and then it shows the don't forget to take your daily window. If I take it a second time it usually goes through. It's super annoying especially when I'm trying to capture something in that brief 2-minute window.

Love the app. It is great to socialize with friends who live at home or far away. But for whatever reason, I haven't been able to receive the BeReal notification for the past month or so on my phone. Notifications are allowed in permissions in the app's sertings, I've cleared the cache, my time zone hasn't changed at all, the app isn't restricted on data usage or battery usage. Nothing is wrong with the app itself, I just tend to forget about it since I can't get notifications for it.

Been using it probably a year now and mostly love it... But lately it's been buggy. For a month or so, I've not gotten any sound notification half the days. Or it posts late when I wasn't late. And for the last week, when I click on the notification it gives a black screen and I have to close and reopen the app. I have a Google pixel 7. 8May2024
