I’ve been using C-MAP Boating for a couple months now. It’s basically a navigation app for boaters – you can use it to plan routes, track your trips, and access weather forecasts and charts. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can explore maps, drop pins for your favorite spots, and even use the autorouting feature to plan the best way to get somewhere. And there’s also a weather overlay which is pretty cool. And you can record your trips and share GPX files – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.

Look, if you’re a recreational boater or just love being on the water, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

So here's my honest take on C-MAP Boating. I've tested a bunch of navigation apps and this one's pretty solid. It's got all the features you'd expect - charts, route planning, weather data, etc. And the interface isn't the slickest but it gets the job done. In my experience, the autorouting and weather overlays are the standout features. Not gonna lie though, the app can be a bit buggy at times. But overall, if you're a casual boater, this is worth downloading.

  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay for premium
