Description
Been using Chrome Beta for a couple months now. It’s basically a preview version of the Chrome browser for Android. Pretty solid app if you’re into trying out new features before they hit the main version.
Here’s what you do: there’s the usual browser stuff like surfing the web, opening tabs, and all that. But it’s got some cool beta features too – you can test out the latest Chrome improvements and give feedback. Took me a while to figure out how to do that, but it’s actually pretty useful.
Look, if you’re into trying out new tech and don’t mind the occasional bug, you’ll probably like Chrome Beta. It’s not perfect – I’ve run into a few crashes here and there – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you use Chrome on your phone.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Chrome Beta. I've tested a bunch of browser apps and this one's pretty good. The beta features are genuinely useful and it's cool to get an early look at what's coming. Sure, it's not as polished as the regular Chrome app, but it's not buggy to the point of being unusable either. If you like being on the cutting edge and don't mind the occasional hiccup, I'd say give it a shot.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Tons of new beta features to test out
- Runs well on my older Android phone
- You can keep using the regular Chrome app alongside the beta
Cons
- Crashed a few times for me, not as stable as the main app
- Some of the new features are a little half-baked
- Need to manually check for updates, doesn't auto-update
