I've tested a bunch of IRC apps and CoreIRC is definitely one of the more full-featured ones. It's got all the core functionality you'd expect, plus some nice extras. The notifications are super customizable, which I really like. On the downside, the learning curve is a bit steeper than some simpler IRC clients. And the ads can get old after a while if you don't pay. But if you need a powerful, flexible IRC app, this is a great option.

Description

Been using CoreIRC for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you connect to different IRC chat networks. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you can do – you can join multiple IRC servers, chat with people, and even receive files over DCC. It’s got a really robust notification system too, so you can customize what you wanna get pinged about. And there’s cool extras like inline URL previews so you don’t have to open every link.

Look, if you’re an IRC power user, you’ll probably love this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit confusing at first and the ads can get annoying. But overall, it does the job well and is worth checking out if you’re looking for a feature-packed IRC client.

Finally got it to connect, can see the channel list, but nothing happens after joining many channels. There is no error message. nothing.

All core features are here. Very robust and reliable even when used in background. Missing correct timestamps in rollback messages. eg. when using a bouncer.
