And the in-depth interviews – you can listen to people on the front lines of major stories and get a unique perspective. They’ve also got some extended web exclusive content that goes even deeper.
Look, if you care about what’s going on in the world and want an alternative to the typical corporate news, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – sometimes the UI can be a little clunky – but overall it does a great job of bringing you important stories you won’t find everywhere else. Worth checking out for sure.

So here's my take on Democracy Now!. I've tested a bunch of news apps and this one stands out for its commitment to independent, in-depth journalism. The interviews are really thought-provoking and you get to hear from a diversity of voices, not just the usual pundits. Sure, the UI could use some polish, and the ads can get a little annoying if you don't pay. But the content is top-notch and I find myself coming back to it regularly to stay informed on global issues. If you're fed up with the mainstream media, this is a great alternative.
