So here's my honest take on Divvy. I've tested a bunch of transit and navigation apps, and this one's one of the better ones in my experience. The bike sharing system is really convenient, and the app makes it easy to find and unlock bikes. The transit info is a nice bonus too. The only downsides are the occasionally buggy app and the fact that the bikes can feel a little clunky. But those are minor issues. If you're in Chicago, Divvy is definitely worth downloading.

Description

Been using Divvy for a couple months now. It’s basically a bike sharing service for the city of Chicago. Pretty solid app if you’re into getting around the city without a car.

Here’s what you do: You can unlock bikes at any Divvy station and ride them to your destination, then just drop the bike off at another station. And there’s also a trip planning feature which is pretty cool. And you can see transit schedules like buses and trains – that’s useful for figuring out the best way to get around.

Look, if you live in or visit Chicago, you’ll probably find Divvy really handy. It’s not perfect – the bikes can be kind of heavy and the app occasionally glitches – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a greener, healthier way to get around the city.

Absolute Ripoff Now! It's $1 every two minutes (after taxes). My 39 minute ride was $9.34. The distance I went was a loop, would have been a $6 Uber. They...

A week of Divvy costs $126+tax. A weekly rail pass is $20. It's basically cheaper to buy a bike and throw it away after a week.
