Description
Been using GoCoCo: Healthy Food Scanner for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you detect and track unhealthy ultra-processed foods. Pretty solid if you’re trying to manage your blood sugar or lose weight.
Here’s what you do: you just scan the barcode on foods and it tells you how healthy or unhealthy they are. And there’s also a meal tracking feature which is pretty cool. And you can get instant feedback on how certain foods affect your blood sugar – took me a while to figure that out but it’s super useful.
Look, if you have prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – there are sometimes issues with the food database – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re trying to eat healthier and feel better.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on GoCoCo: Healthy Food Scanner. I've tested a bunch of health and fitness apps and this one's pretty solid. The barcode scanning works well and gives you a clear sense of how healthy (or unhealthy) different foods are. And the meal tracking is also useful for managing blood sugar. Not gonna lie though, the food database could be more comprehensive. And the app can get a little repetitive after a while. But if you're trying to make smarter choices about what you eat, this is a pretty good option.
