Look, if you’re a Boise local and want a reliable source for news about your city, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re into local news.

So here's my honest take on the Idaho Statesman - Boise News app. I've tested a bunch of local news apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, and the selection of news, sports, and other content is comprehensive. I like that it gives me the option to read the full digital Edition overnight. But I've found that the ads can get a little intrusive, and some of the push notifications feel spammy. Compared to other local news apps I've used, this one's a bit more polished and reliable, but it's not perfect. If you live in the Boise area and want a go-to source for what's happening locally, I'd say it's worth downloading.
