Been using the Insignia Fire TV Remote app for a couple months now. It’s basically a way to control your Fire TV or other smart TVs right from your phone. Pretty solid app if you’re into home automation and streaming.
Here’s what you do: you can use the app to change channels, adjust volume, and navigate your Fire TV just like with the physical remote. There’s also a built-in voice search which is pretty cool. And you can even use your phone’s IR blaster to control other TV brands – took me a while to figure that out but it’s a useful feature.
Look, if you’re sick of dealing with lost or broken remotes, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit finicky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a convenient way to control your Fire TV.
