thank you and God Bless I do not understand a subscription, why not just sell the book. I don't have much money. I am unemployed and can't afford the app. I will buying the book from a bookstore. I really wish I could just pay a one time price if say $20 or whatever 😕

horrible, I just downloaded the app, and it is stuck on Jan 1st; today is May 18th. Crazy. If it doesn't start working soon, I'm going to scratch it... uninstall it. WOW, this app is not free as advertised. OM, that is deceitful and misleading to say this app is free when they knowingly know that it is not.

I has not allowed any reading of any devotionals. Customer service has not helped, they only said to update the app. There is no way to update it. It now says I have to repurchase the book app! I sent harper Collins my receipt of purchase. They offer no assistance.

is just great and wonderful its well written and i just love this app i use to have the book for. but the app has more features

Thank you so much for creating this app. This is amazing. I forgot to read my book before. I left for work and I'm so glad to find that there's an app instead. So that way, I won't miss my daily devotional.

***I have to add to my post from last year! IT'S STILL AN INCREDIBLE APP!! 🤗I have had this App for years and I read the daily devotional every morning to start my day! Every reading pertains to my situation at the perfect time! The App is extra simple to navigate and has been beyond a blessing to me during some tough times! I also want to mention that there is minimal if any Ads at all!

I am thoroughly frustrated with your app. I downloaded it a number of months ago, back before the start of subscriptions. Everything was great. Then, recently, I was unable to read the next devotion and was forced to subscribe if I wanted to continue. I read the answer to another user which said that a fix had been created. I found no way to update the app, so I uninstalled it and downloaded it again. Of course, It wants me to subscribe. I am retired and on Social Security and cannot afford it.

Of course the book is wonderful and having it on my phone allows me to read it any where I go. The app is simple and stable. My main criticism is that the app description said that you can listen to the daily reflection; however, once I bought the app I discovered that in order to listen, you have to pay more to get the audio.

The devotional content is great. But the app has been getting clunky in recent weeks, now to the point of crashing on date selection. I just tried reinstalling, and now, the "Restore Purchases" function doesn't work. I don't like the pushiness for purchasing a subscription. Like any other ebook, I should be able to read the three devotional books that I paid for. UPDATE 3 weeks later: Reinstalled as suggested, which restored its normal clunky functionality. Now, it crashes again.

Loved this app and have loved having it on my phone. Very frustrated, however, that all of the sudden I'm not able to use it like I used to. It wants me to pay a monthly fee & has locked what I've already paid for. I thought it was resolved but today's date is wrong... it's showing the 31st and when I went in to go to the correct date, January & pretty much every other day after is locked. I was previously able to go into every single date and read whatever I wanted to on whatever date. So sad.

EDIT 2/9/24: Issues remain but now content is locked and requires me to pay $4.99/mo when I already paid nearly $12 for it! DELETED .. EDIT 5/2/23: Issues remain :( .. 6/29/21: I've been reading this book for years & am so glad it's in an app! I would've given it 5 stars but I had some issues: 1]when I choose certain settings (dark mode, font size, etc) the settings don't stay, I have to choose the settings EVERY time I open the app, 2]can't highlight/copy any text, 3] app reminder doesn't work.

Had this app for a few years now and it's been getting worse through time. In the beginning everything was good, had my personalized settings with my name and daily reminders. As time went on my name disappeared, my personal settings were deminished but i continued to use the app hoping the bugs would clear out. Finally, the app locked me out completely and doesn't recognize or remember me even though I've been using it for a few years! Overall horrible experience with the app, not recommended.

Love the writings but app NEEDS big time improvements! NO ability to highlight anything, not easy to navigate around (index is old scrolling type if u are searching for another date, etc.). Very disappointed in the functionality for a purchased app. They seem to be very interested in selling lots more but the app as it is needs work to be more user friendly & helpful! Otherwise, Id've been happier to purchase the digital book elsewhere! If I had, I could be marking & highlighting it!

Update: Issue is resolved and this app is now working normally, which is fantastic. Thank you for fixing it! Normally it's great, today, no. It won't open at all beyond the initial question about notifications - after that blank. I re-downloaded it about seven separate times, only to have the same issue when done. Please fix it, I want it back!

Customer support stopped trying to help me 9 days ago with the same issue so many other people have where I bought the book/app, and restore purchases does not work. I will probably just buy the physical (reliable) book, since the content itself is very good. I also see people complaining about the navigation 3 years ago, and I had the same problem years later. (And now I imagine I'll get the same copy-paste response that I do NOT have to purchase it again, which is just not working out).

Update Aug 07, 2024 - worked for two weeks. Now, I cannot use app without repurchasing subscription, AGAIN. Cannot access any of the content since changes made to app in January. I have corresponded with publisher numerous times; each time being told to uninstall and reinstall, to no avail. It is a wonderful book. However, app is worthless. *** Solution from developer: uninstall and reinstall, AGAIN!! Then, if still having trouble report through the app which doesn't work!

Previously paid for the app., but now content is locked and requires me to pay $4.99 / month. I only have a few days in January open as "my content". I love having the app on my phone for times when I don't have the book available. Very frustrating! ***Update: I had already updated the app, with the same result. "Today's Reading" still does not show today's actual reading, & requires a subscription. However, by trial & error, located library where my old content is.

Great book. The app is great because the scripture is written out. The downside is that on the very last scripture, almost daily, you can't fully see what scripture or where it is located for to the notes tab on the bottom right. This could be remedied by adding another space at the very end of every day. I like to know where the scriptures are located and cross reference different translations at times and to not see the scripture on an app is no goodie. Please fix.

I have been reading the physical book version for a couple of years. Today (01/01/22, first purchase of the year!) I decided to purchase the app. My thinking was that the app would be much more convenient as I can read it at any time. For an example as soon as I wake up, just reach for my phone and read it. I was correct, the app is great. It has a nice table of contents, a dark mode, a notes section for each passage, and you can favorite/bookmark any passage. The app is set up very nicely.
