So here's my honest take on Kangaroo: Simple Home Security. I've tested a bunch of home security apps and this one's pretty good for the basics. The setup is super easy and the app itself is pretty intuitive. I like that you can self-monitor for free or add the paid plans if you want more features. Not gonna lie, the theft/damage reimbursement is a pretty nice perk. But the app does have some issues - it can be slow to load sometimes and the notifications aren't always reliable. Overall though, it's a solid option if you want simple, affordable home security.
