Description
Been using the KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio app for a couple months now. It’s basically a way to listen to your local NPR station on the go. Pretty solid app if you’re into public radio and podcasts.
Here’s what you can do – there’s live streaming so you can listen to the KUOW station even when you’re not near a radio. And it’s got DVR-like controls, so you can pause, rewind, and fast forward the live stream. Kinda useful if you need to step away for a bit. The app also gives you access to KUOW’s podcast library, so you can catch up on past shows whenever you want.
Look, if you’re a big public radio listener, you’ll probably love this app. It’s not perfect – the podcast section can be a little clunky sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a convenient way to tune into KUOW and NPR on your phone.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on the KUOW app. I've tested a bunch of radio and podcast apps, and this one's pretty solid. The live streaming works really well, and the DVR-like controls are super handy. I also like that you can easily switch between the different KUOW streams. Not gonna lie though, the podcast section is a bit of a letdown - the UI is not the most intuitive. But overall, it's a great way to get your public radio fix on the go. Definitely worth downloading if you're a KUOW listener.
