Been using Lake Genius – Powell Boating for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that has all kinds of maps and resources for exploring Lake Powell. Tons of stuff like campsites, fuel, restaurants, even floating bathrooms. Plus it tracks the water levels and warns you about underwater hazards.
Here’s what you do: you can mark your favorite spots, plan routes, and even share locations with friends. There’s also a distance calculator – that’s come in handy more than a few times. And the navigation features work really well, shows you exactly where you are on the lake.
Look, if you spend a lot of time boating on Lake Powell, you’ll probably love this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky and the free trial is kind of limited. But overall it’s a pretty solid tool that makes exploring the lake a lot easier.
