Been using the News & Observer (N&O): Mobile app for a couple months now. It’s basically a news app that keeps you up to date on what’s happening in the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill areas. Pretty solid if you live in or follow the Triangle region in North Carolina.
Here’s what you can do – you get breaking news alerts, real-time updates on local stories, and you can read all the latest news, sports, and opinion pieces from the N&O. And there’s also a section with cool photos and videos from news events. And you can easily share articles on social media or by email.
Look, if you’re into local news and want to stay informed about your community, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the app can be a bit buggy sometimes and the ads can get annoying. But overall it does the job of keeping you connected to what’s going on in the Triangle.

So here's my take on News & Observer (N&O): Mobile. I've tested a bunch of local news apps and this one's pretty solid. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, and I like how you can customize the topics you follow. And the breaking news alerts are super helpful for staying on top of important stories. But I've found the app can be a little slow to load at times, and some of the opinion pieces can be a bit biased. Still, if you want a reliable way to get your local news, I'd say it's worth checking out.
