So here's my honest take on Phone Id - Fake Caller Buster. I've tested a bunch of privacy and security apps, and this one's pretty good. The ability to make private calls is the main draw, and it works well. I also like the spam detection - it's caught a few numbers for me that turned out to be scams. Not gonna lie though, the interface can be a bit confusing at first. And there are ads, which gets annoying if you don't pay. But overall, it's a pretty solid option if you need to make private calls or screen for spam.

Pros

  • Make calls privately so your real number is hidden
  • Detects premium rate numbers and spam calls automatically
  • Free to use, don't have to pay anything
  • Decent set of features for a privacy/security app
  • Works reliably, no major bugs in my experience

Cons

  • User interface can be a bit confusing at first
  • Ads get annoying if you don't pay for the premium version
  • Doesn't have every feature you might want from a privacy app
  • Occasionally had trouble connecting a call

Description

Been using Phone Id – Fake Caller Buster for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you make private calls and see if that missed call was from a real number or a spammer. Pretty solid if you’re into privacy and avoiding scams.

Here’s what you do: you can use the app to call back any number and it’ll show up as a different number, so the person on the other end won’t see your real phone ID. There’s also a feature that detects premium rate numbers and spam calls – it’ll automatically disconnect those so you don’t get charged. And you can see details on who’s been calling you, which is useful.

Look, if you’re worried about privacy or get a lot of spam calls, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI could be a bit more intuitive – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that sounds useful to you.
