So here's my take on Translate - Translator. I've tested a bunch of translation apps and this one's definitely one of the better free options out there. The core features work really well - the text and photo translation is fast and accurate. And the voice translate is hit or miss, but still comes in handy. And being able to use it offline is a big plus. The only real downsides are the occasionally clunky UI and the ads, but you can remove the ads with a one-time buy. Overall, it's a pretty solid free translation app that gets the job done.

Pros

  • Translate text, voice, and photos across 150+ languages
  • Works offline so you don't need internet
  • Free to use, with an optional ad-free upgrade
  • Accurate translations most of the time
  • Easy to share translated text

Cons

  • Voice recognition can be spotty at times
  • The UI takes some getting used to
  • Ads can be annoying if you don't pay to remove them
  • Might be overkill if you only need to translate occasionally

Description

I’ve been using Translate – Translator for a couple months now. It’s basically a free app that lets you translate text, voice, and photos across over 150 languages. Pretty solid if you travel a lot or need to communicate with people who don’t speak your language.

Here’s what you can do – you can just type in some text and it’ll translate it instantly. There’s also a voice translate feature, which is super handy when you’re talking to someone. And it can even translate text from photos, which is really useful. It’s got offline translation too, so you don’t need an internet connection.

Look, if you’re always needing to translate stuff, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this app. It’s not perfect – the voice recognition can be a bit spotty sometimes and the UI takes some getting used to. But overall, it does the job and it’s free, so it’s worth checking out.
