Description
Been using Chess for Kids – Play & Learn for a couple months now. It’s basically a chess app designed for younger players to learn and practice the game. Pretty solid app if you’re into strategy games.
Here’s what you do: you can play games against computer opponents of different skill levels, or challenge your friends online. There’s also a bunch of tutorials and lessons to help you learn chess moves and tactics. Took me a while to figure out some of the advanced features, but they’re pretty useful once you get the hang of it.
Look, if you’ve got kids who are into chess or you’re just looking to pick up the game yourself, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Chess for Kids - Play & Learn. I've tested a bunch of chess apps and this one's pretty solid. The tutorials are super helpful for beginners, and the ability to play against friends or AI opponents of varying skill levels is great. The graphics and animations are clean and polished too. But I will say that the progression system feels a bit slow at higher levels, and the ads can get old if you don't upgrade. Still, for a free chess app, it's one of the better ones I've used.
