Description
Been playing Dungeons of Aether for a couple months now. It’s basically a turn-based dungeon crawler where you explore underground and fight deadly enemies. Pretty solid game if you’re into this kind of strategy stuff.
Here’s what you do: you pick one of four different heroes and dive into the dungeons. There’s a dice drafting mechanic which is pretty cool – you gotta strategize to get the best abilities and items. And there are puzzles to solve too which add another layer. Took me a while to get the hang of it but it’s satisfying when you figure it out.
Look, if you’re into strategy games and don’t mind a challenge, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever at higher levels and it can get a little repetitive after a while. But overall it does the job and it’s free to play so worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Dungeons of Aether. I've tested a bunch of strategy games and this one's actually pretty solid. The combat has a good amount of depth without being overwhelming, and the visuals look great even on my old phone. I like that you can play at your own pace and don't have to spend money to enjoy it. But it's not without its issues - the grind gets real at higher levels and the ads can get annoying if you don't pay. Overall though, it scratches that strategy itch in a fun way.
