Description
Been playing Match Villains for a couple months now. It’s basically a match-3 puzzle game with a twist – you’re part of this crew of aristocratic thieves trying to steal valuable artifacts. The gameplay is pretty solid – you break through layers of obstacles using clever matches and power-ups to clear each level.
Here’s what you do: you build up your little thief headquarters, upgrade your abilities, and then team up with other players in a clan to plan heists and raid other player bases. There’s also a single-player campaign with a ton of levels, which is a nice change of pace. And the graphics are really polished, game runs smooth even on older phones.
Look, if you’re into strategy/puzzle games, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels and it can get a bit repetitive after a while. But overall it’s a fun time-killer that doesn’t force you to spend money to enjoy it.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Match Villains. I've tested a bunch of strategy/puzzle games and this one's pretty solid. The core gameplay loop of breaking through obstacles and comboing power-ups is really satisfying, and I like how you can team up with friends to plan bigger heists. The progression system has good depth without being overwhelming. On the downside, the repetition does set in after a while and the monetization gets a bit aggressive at higher levels. But for a free game, it's worth checking out if you're into this genre.
