So here's my take on The Vigil Files: Case 1. I've tested a bunch of detective/mystery games and this one's up there with the best of 'em. The VigilOS system is super immersive and makes you feel like a real investigator. And the story is engaging and not your typical whodunnit. That said, it can get a little grindy at higher levels, and the difficulty spikes in a way that might frustrate some players. But if you're into this genre and don't mind a challenge, I'd say it's definitely worth a download.

Description

Been playing The Vigil Files: Case 1 for a couple months now. It’s basically a detective game where you use this advanced computer system called VigilOS to investigate a suspicious disappearance. There’s a lot you can do – you can hack into companies, make phone calls, and dig into emails to try and uncover what really happened. But here’s the thing, this isn’t your average crime story. The mystery goes a lot deeper than it seems at first. Definitely takes some out of the box thinking to crack this case.

The VigilOS system is pretty cool. You can use it to access all kinds of info on your suspects and leads. There’s also some hacking mini-games which can be a nice change of pace. But don’t expect this to be easy – you’ll really have to put on your detective hat and use your noggin to figure things out.

Look, if you’re into mystery and detective games, you’ll probably dig this. It’s not perfect – can get a bit repetitive after a while – but overall it’s a solid game that’ll keep you engaged. Worth checking out for sure.
