So here's my honest take on Plantum - Plant Identifier. I've tested a bunch of plant ID apps and this one's pretty solid. The plant recognition is accurate most of the time, and I like how you can build your own little plant collection. Sure, it has a few issues like the ads, and the disease diagnosis isn't always spot on, but for a free app it does a really nice job. I'd recommend giving it a try if you're curious about the plants in your neighborhood or your own backyard.

Description

Been using Plantum – Plant Identifier for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you take photos of plants, trees, flowers, even mushrooms, and it’ll tell you what they are. Pretty cool if you’re into gardening or just curious about nature around you.

Here’s what you do: just point your camera at a plant, snap a pic, and the app will instantly give you the name, details, and care instructions. There’s also an option to add your discoveries to your own plant collection, which is a nice way to keep track of everything. And you can even get plant disease diagnoses and treatment tips – that’s come in handy a few times.

Look, if you’re into plants and the great outdoors, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get kinda annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to learn more about the greenery around you.

The plant ID doesn't work the best, it struggled with 2 plants of mine, but those have multiple varieties that look similar so I get the confusion to an extent....
