I've tested a bunch of remote control apps for Fire TV and this one's pretty solid. The layout is intuitive and it's got all the core features you'd expect. In my experience, the remote controls work reliably and the screen mirroring is smooth. The only downside is the initial setup can be a bit tricky if you're not familiar with ADB. But once it's connected, it's a pretty seamless experience. I'd say it's one of the better Fire TV remote apps out there.

Description

Been using Remote for Fire TV & FireStick for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control your Fire TV or FireStick using your Android phone. Pretty solid if you’re into home entertainment stuff.

Here’s what you can do: there’s a full remote control that works just like the physical one. You can also use the keyboard feature to easily type on your TV for search and stuff. And it’s got quick access to your favorite apps and channels too. And you can even mirror your phone screen to the TV in low latency – great for sharing photos and videos.

Look, if you’re always misplacing your Fire TV remote, you’ll probably find this app really useful. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit confusing at first – but overall it gets the job done. Worth checking out if you use a Fire TV device.

You'd think this would just work with an Amazon Fire TV but it can't even find the TV. This app is a piece of (presumably) Chinese malware that steals both...
