So here's my honest take on iReal Pro: Backing Tracks. I've tested a bunch of music practice apps and this one's one of the better ones. The backing tracks sound super realistic and it's cool how you can build your own chord charts. The app does a good job of simulating a live band to play along with. My only gripe is that some of the features can be a little complicated to figure out at first. But once you get the hang of it, it's a really useful tool to improve your playing.

Description

Been using iReal Pro: Backing Tracks for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you practice your music with a virtual band. Pretty solid if you’re into music and want to improve your skills.

Here’s what you do: You can create and edit chord charts for your favorite songs, then the app will play backing tracks to jam along with. And there’s also a library of pre-made charts you can use. And the sound quality is surprisingly good – it really feels like you’re playing with a real band.

Look, if you’re a musician or music student, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this. It’s not perfect – the learning curve can be a bit steep at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

Don't normally pay premium for music apps, but am really glad to have made the investment. Great for jazz, but also for pop and rock. You can search online via...

As a professional guitar and double bass player this has been my and my colleagues' go to app for many years. Make playlists, transpose them, share them with your combo...

This app is good but the new double time feature is backwards. The half time button plays double time and vice versa.
