So here's my honest take on Mileage Tracker & Log - MileIQ. I've tested a bunch of mileage tracking apps and this one's pretty solid. The automatic GPS tracking is a game-changer - no more forgetting to log trips or losing receipts. It's way easier than the old pen and paper method. The expense report features are handy too, though the interface could be a bit more user-friendly. Overall though, it's a reliable app that gets the job done with minimal hassle. Definitely worth a look if you need to track your mileage for taxes or reimbursements.

Pros

  • Automatically tracks all your drives in the background
  • Classifies trips as business or personal for easy expense reporting
  • Exports data for tax prep so you don't have to manually log everything
  • Free to use with an optional paid subscription for more features

Cons

  • The UI can be a bit clunky and not the most intuitive
  • The free version has some limitations, like a cap on trips tracked
  • Might be overkill if you just need basic mileage logging

Description

Been using Mileage Tracker & Log – MileIQ for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that automatically tracks your mileage so you can maximize your tax reimbursements and manage your business expenses. Pretty solid if you’re self-employed, a rideshare driver, or just need to keep track of your car use for work.

Here’s what you do: the app uses your phone’s GPS to log every trip you take. There’s also a feature to classify your drives as business or personal, which is pretty cool. And you can export all the data for tax time – no more trying to remember and manually log every trip.

Look, if you’re into productivity and expense management apps, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need to track your mileage.

The app is good in that it measures every inch you drive. However, every time you stop at a red light, it starts a new drive. Drive 15 miles on...

Good app for what it does...generally recommend the app...but be advised, it is a major battery hog. And, if you try to temporarily turn off the "use location all the...
