So here's my honest take on TagHalal food Scan Ingredients. I've tested a bunch of food scanning apps and this one's pretty solid. The ability to quickly check if an ingredient is Halal or not is really useful, and the database of common additives is a nice bonus. It's not 100% perfect - the scanning can be a bit temperamental at times - but it gets the job done. If you're a Muslim trying to avoid non-Halal foods, this is a pretty good option.

Description

Been using the TagHalal food Scan Ingredients app for a couple months now. It’s basically a scanner that tells you if the ingredients in a food product are Halal (allowed) or Haram (not allowed) for Muslims. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: just point your camera at the ingredients list on a product and it’ll scan it and tell you if the preservatives, colorings, and other additives are Halal or not. There’s also a database with info on common ingredients, which is pretty cool. And you can check if the product is approved by major food authorities like the EU and US – that’s handy.

Look, if you’re a Muslim concerned about what you eat, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the scanning can be hit or miss sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to make sure you’re only eating Halal stuff.
