So here's my honest take on Owlet Dream. I've tested a bunch of parenting apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The integration with the Owlet hardware is the big draw - being able to see the vitals, video feed, and daily summaries all in one place is super convenient. And it's not the most advanced app out there, but it gets the job done without being overwhelming. The only real downside is that some of the features can be a bit glitchy at times. But in my experience, it's a reliable app that makes monitoring your baby a lot easier.

Pros

  • Tons of useful features like sleep tracking, feeding logs, and video feed
  • Integrates seamlessly with Owlet smart baby monitors
  • Free to download and use the core functionality
  • offers helpful insights and tips based on your baby's patterns
  • Simple and easy to navigate, doesn't have a steep learning curve

Cons

  • Some of the tracking features can be a bit finicky and unreliable

  • Occasional bugs and glitches that can be annoying
  • Might be overkill if you don't have any Owlet products

Description

Been using Owlet Dream for a couple months now. It’s basically a parenting app that works with Owlet’s smart baby monitor products. Pretty solid app if you’re into keeping an eye on your little one.

Here’s what you do: you can track your baby’s sleep, feedings, and activity all in one place. There’s also a cool video feed from the Owlet Cam, which is super handy. And the app gives you insights and tips based on your baby’s patterns – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.

Look, if you’ve got an Owlet monitor, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the sleep tracking can be a bit finicky sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a convenient way to stay on top of your baby’s care.

The constant "connection lost" alerts when not in the same room as the base station are infuriating. The range is supposedly 100 feet but I can't get more than 10...

It has one job and cannot do it. Avoid at all costs. We are literally trusting this app with our baby and it can't manage to keep a constant connection...
