So here's my honest take on Inky - Run Inkscape on Android. I've tested a bunch of design and art apps, and this one's pretty solid. The vector tools are robust and it's cool to have a full-fledged editor like Inkscape on your phone. But it does take some getting used to, and the performance can be hit or miss depending on your device. In my experience, it's great for quick edits and sketches, but I wouldn't want to do intensive work on it. Still, if you need vector design capabilities on the go, this is one of the better options out there.

Pros

  • Tons of strategic depth without being overwhelming
  • Graphics look great and run smooth on older phones
  • Free to play, don't need to spend money to enjoy it
  • Plenty of advanced tools for serious designers
  • Easy to export SVG files for further editing

Cons

  • Upgrades take forever at higher levels
  • Gets repetitive after a while
  • Ads can be annoying if you don't pay
  • Performance can be sluggish on some devices

Description

Been using Inky – Run Inkscape on Android for a couple months now. It’s basically a vector graphics editor that you can use on your phone. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can create all sorts of vector shapes and designs, play with colors and gradients, and even trace over photos. There’s also a bunch of advanced tools that’ll take some time to figure out, but they’re pretty useful once you get the hang of it. And the ability to export to SVG format is clutch – lets you take your creations to the next level.

Look, if you’re into graphic design or digital art, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – can get a little sluggish on older phones – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

Needs a dark mode especially since a lot of phones have Oled screens. And also, add the ability to map the Samsung S-pen button to keyboard keys (Ex. Single press=hold...

After Intel tep 3 dots on floating menu. Set to simulated touchpad to make this usable on a phone (or use a mouse). It's nice in a pinch.

I love inkscape on my computer. I bought this for my Fold6, figuring it would be big enough. It is WAY too small... really sad ..
