So here's my honest take on OurFlat: Household & Chores. I've tried a bunch of these kinds of 'shared living' apps and this one's pretty solid. The core features like the shopping list and chore calendar work really well. And the in-app chat is a nice bonus too. The only downsides I've found are that the UI can be a little confusing at first, and the reminders don't always work as reliably as I'd like. But overall, it's a great way to get everyone on the same page about household stuff.

Pros

  • Tons of useful features like shopping lists, bill splitting, and calendar
  • Shared chat makes it easy to discuss and vote on decisions
  • Free to use, no subscription needed
  • Works well for all kinds of shared living - roommates, couples, families
  • Keeps everything in one place so nothing falls through the cracks

Cons

  • Interface can be a bit clunky and confusing to set up at first
  • Reminders don't always work as reliably as they should
  • Might be overkill if you only have 1-2 roommates
  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay for the premium version

Description

Been using OurFlat: Household & Chores for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you and your roommates or family keep track of things like groceries, bills, and chores. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of organization stuff.

Here’s what you can do: You can create shopping lists and share them with the people you live with. There’s also a built-in calendar to plan out chores and events. And the integrated chat with polls makes it easy to get everyone’s input on decisions. Took me a while to figure some of that out, but it’s really useful once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re always forgetting to buy stuff or arguing about who does the dishes, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to bring more peace to your shared living situation.

Paywall for splitting payments in non equal portions. --- Edit - RE: dev stating they need money, but there are plenty of ways of going about that without absolutely gutting...

Easy to use app. Repeat event function for calander would be super handy. Weekly overview of tasks and calander that can be printed for quick reference. A to do list...
