Been using Curio – Antique Identifier for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you take a photo of an antique or collectible and it’ll tell you what it is, where it’s from, and all sorts of cool history about it. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do: just snap a pic of whatever old stuff you’ve got, whether it’s a lamp, jewelry, furniture, or whatever. There’s also an option to search the database manually if you don’t have the item with you. It’s got a ton of info on tons of different antiques. And the in-depth history and context it offers is really interesting – took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s super useful.
Look, if you’re an antique collector or just someone who likes learning about old stuff, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – sometimes the identification is a bit off and the database could be more comprehensive. But overall it does the job and makes uncovering the stories behind your antiques really easy.
